Title: Episode Audio for Listening. Sound good? Post by: KyoZaber on February 12, 2007, 12:55:52 am It's a decent question, and think about it.
Has there ever been a road trip where you're driving, and you wished you could at least be listening to something other than the usual sound tracks on your MP3 player? Or how about when you're in the computer lab at a school and you wish you could at least put some headphones on and listen to a SPC episode streamed over the internet? Granted, the only thing I've got so far is a few of the episodes MP3-ifyed. And some of the audio episodes aren't exactly Bose level crisp & clear. Yet they're better than nothing I suppose. Well... at least at the moment. Thoughts? Comments? Title: Re: Episode Audio for Listening. Sound good? Post by: Valkyrie on February 12, 2007, 12:59:19 pm Though I would hesitate to put a 30min mp3 on my mp3 player, It would be pretty cool to have SPC to listen to, but SPC is something I would like to experience with all 5 senses.
So a definite maybe... Title: Re: Episode Audio for Listening. Sound good? Post by: Threaux on February 12, 2007, 01:25:20 pm Personally I wouldn't want to just listen to the mp3's 30 minutes at a time with no video to go along with them, that aside I think mp3's (or m4a's, FLAC's, etc.) should be made available to pull soundclips, quotes, and other such audio information from. Let me know if you need any help with this project, I am more than happy to do audio work for SPC related projects.

Title: Re: Episode Audio for Listening. Sound good? Post by: Anonymous on February 17, 2007, 11:42:33 pm hmm interesting Idea this
The MP3 audio stream from one of my episodes (20 minutes NOT 30 thank you :P ) averages about 18.3Mb (for 20 mins) or 19.3Mb (for the later 21 min episodes) so i'm thinking that one could easily fit several episodes onto a 512mb mp3 player without much problem. I'll keep an eye out to see whether or not to give out my cleaned up audio. Neko Title: Re: Episode Audio for Listening. Sound good? Post by: Daisensei on February 18, 2007, 08:47:40 am By the way, it would be great if KNT episode audio files were available. They would help translation of Japanese episodes.

Post by: KyoZaber on March 17, 2007, 02:54:53 pm It's incredibly easy to rip WAV files with VirtualDub. ;) If you want me to, I can do it for you How do you think I got most of the SPC episodes onto my iPod? ;] I suppose I might as well be perfectly honest here. I've had all the episodes (cept for the real player ones) ripped for some time now. I posted this thread for 2 reasons... 1) To see if the fan community would actually like to listen to episodes. 2) If there was enough fans, I'd have asked our Audio/Video folks for their blessing before blasting the audio out to the entire fandom. (Out of respect for what they've done for us.) ((Heck, they might've had access to better audio than I did.)) So far, folks don't seem to be very gun-ho about the idea, so I'm not going to worry about it that much. Anyways... Thank you all for your responses. And regarding the KNT Audio Rips, I've gotten all the episodes already ripped. Took some finangling, but it was worth it. Now I've got to work on getting 3.46 gigs out there on the internet somehow... ... I also wish I fully understood all aspects of the Japanese language(s) so I could listen to these an enjoy them. -_- Edit: Thank you adhdyoshi for offering to help. You sound like you know your way around Audio / Video stuffs. Might have to keep our eyes on you... Never can have too many AV dudes an dudets around! Title: Re: Episode Audio for Listening. Title: Re: Episode Audio for Listening. Sound good? Post by: SteC on March 21, 2007, 04:50:58 pm Yes, this should not just work well with MP3 players, but the same thing can happen with cell phones too. Is this possible?
