If it didn't fit they could try something else. The original KNT episodes were written with more intent behind them, thus the story was written before animated. You can think of SPC as the MST3K version of KNT.

I think Princess Vi randomly sending people Prisoner Island is in KNT also... of course, it's been a while since I saw a KNT episode. Yeah, the KNT theme song is either love it or hate it.
