It's very yucky indeed. Alvin wearing a hoodie makes him look more like a thug, and Simon doesn't look as nerdy as he does in the old cartoon. Why is Hollywood digging so deep, recycling any old TV show, and even cartoons? Making sequel after sequel, rarely daring to try making anything original. So afraid to do anything new. ... God damn it, my Memories of s Sweet Childhood have officialy been shattered. This is worse then when i found out the Horror that was the House of the Dead movie. I'm impartial to it all, I'd prefer they go back to making "Generic action / comedy / romance / horror movie #340.000.000"... Since I know it'll only be a matter of time before they find something I did like as a child.
