Title: Rojo Mojo's (JPM) Artwork
Post by: Rojo Mojo on October 06, 2007, 12:40:41 am
Instead of doing many topics, I think it's a better idea to just start a single topic that will show all my arts.

Well today I did a little skecth of Rojo Mojo and I couldn't wait long to show it to you. I want to learn how to draw step by step a SPC/KNT character, so I need a lot of practice. I need to understand the "ratio" number of heads that we can count from the heigth, I could find out that he have a ratio of 3.

my research continue!  :mojorojo:

Hope you like! ;)

Merci "thank you"

Does it worth it to finish the sketch, to put it clean?

I cetainly think so. We don't see much fan art of the Rude Nose/Yami no Yoninshuu, and that sketch looks quite good.

Great sketch, and looking very accurate with the show's style. I'd love to see you finish it!  ;)

Also, your ratio chart reminds me of one that a user named "Leamur" made over a year ago:

Very interesting, I see the skecth of the girl, her ratio is slightly smaller than a rude noise, just to give some variation. It's semm that the ratio of the charcaters of the SPC/KNT universe is between 2 and 4, just a guess.

Ok everybody, I will try to put it clean and still I appreciate your encouragement! At least I feel that I bring you something new if you say that you don't have often Rude Noise drawings. (sorry again for my poor english.....sigh......)

Good work.

Well, it's not so clean, but I still need to practice my lines with the pencil.

Well at least here is Rojo Mojo:  :mojorojo:

Now, the next step is to colorize him.

It's finish, I did it with color pencil and outline it with black ink.

Merci à tous (thanks you all)

Good idea, I'll try to do  :speedy: next.

Does anyone have an idea for Speedy in what kind of pose you like him to be?

Perhaps you could draw :speedy: removing his helmet. That would be interesting :)

Hmmm...I always wonder how Speedy may look without is helmet....

There is actually a model sheet with a concept drawing of what Speedy looks like without his helmet

Though, since he never actually takes it off in the cartoon, many like to think of his hair open to ideas. I personally like to give him hair like the man in the lower left of this picture-

Resulting in somthing like this-

But if you have any ideas of your own, as to what his hair would look like, it would be interesting to see. :)

ha nevermind I get delirious sometimes... 8O

The current hairstyle of Edo period in Japan was actually like this:

Funny, I'm not sure that those haircuts could fit with Speedy, I really don't see him with this haircut.

I think speedy may have short hairs, but not bald.

I need to think more... ?:|

Probably you and perhaps other western persons aren't familiarized with Japanese historical TV series like me, so it's looks so weird. Nevetheless you have the freedom to create your own concept about Yattarou, after all Edoropolis isn't the real Edo (former name of Tokyo).
Just a trivia, I have read that samurais had the habit to shove the upper part of their head to make the helmet fitting better, in a hairstyle called 'chonmage'. After that the citizens adopted the same style, probably due to the high social rank attributed to the warriors in the Edo period.

I'm not really sure if I understood what you wrote, don't get me wrong, you write pretty well! It's just me...

So you say that they needed to shove the upper part of their heads to help fit their helmet? Sounds logical, if we think that in SPC they have metallic hair!

On another note, I put a character at the RP section, I don't really know how it works around, but I love RP games and if someone do some, I would like to participate!

It's been a while since I showed sigh of life.

But I have draw something that might interest some:

I did some research on Speedy to understand is model and I first did him from memory (I remember that I have done that before)
but this time I wanted to see the difference between drawing from memory and using a model and construct the character from it. ;)

Hey, not bad. There are small differences, but your Memory Speedy is pretty good.

Well I don't know....I need to find some ideas first

I'm currently studying the characters from Samurai Pizza Cats and I started to watch all the episodes again.

Do you have any suggestion? ?:|

Super!

In wich stage that boss was?

When I'll see it I'll try find the best view I can put him with maybe Spritz T Cat in it. Water = Spritz!

WoW!! Your three drawings are very good! The concept of the KNT Video Game is quite original. Do not have more?
Excellent! Excellent!  ;) =]

That boss was from the first stage. Stage two, the docks boss was a flying fish.

Very nice drawing Rojo Mojo.

Thank you Wolf and Harmonex!

Well the second will be a bit more difficult to do, since in the game I can only see him from the side; I have to guess is proportion in is front view.

Wich character should fit the best to fight the second boss? Spritzt T Cat?

Yes I think Spritz T Cat would fit well, seeing it's at a dock. :D
