I blame the G4/PSX Generation for ruining the biz, but that's just me.

PSX is part of a generation? That thing lasted like, one week.

I meant the original Playstation, I didn't even know PSX referred to something else.

Ah, I got ya. Sony decided to confuse everyone by creating this failure of a machine (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PSX) in 2003.

I personally feel the sad state of the video game is the result of quite a few combined forces. Such as:

1. "I need more pointless blood and less clothing in video games! This game is KITTY!" :whitecat:
2. "FMV and graphics are better than gameplay!"
3. "I need to buy Madden every year!"
4. "Kyo Zaaaaaaber!"
5.  Umm... CNN or something.

#1 & #2 are problems that can be directly traced to the PSX generation. As for number three, although madden existed in the early 90's, it didn't really start to become annoying/stale until the 128 bit era, when there really weren't any noticeable improvements between each release.

PS: I despise G4 with every ounce of blood in my body, they epitomize what is wrong with the industry today.

Ooh, and let's not forget  the complete idiots, that have become oh so common now that giming is quickly going mainstream. (The CNN thing is sorta true! Hurrah!)
Durr, I'ma gonna go buy Van Helsing: The Game! I like SCI and The Matrix, they must be good games too! =O

Oh yes, G4's "Players" and "Videogame Vixens" are currently battling it out for Stupidest Show On Television.


But seriously. It's all the fault of this so called "Kyo Zaber".

I must be too tired to think straight, I read that line as "Vin Diesel: The Game".

Although compared to some of the stuff I've seen lately, maybe that game wouldn't be so horrible.

Suprisingly, the game based on Vin Diesel's The Chronicles Of Riddick is supposed to be quite good, and was one of the lead sleeper hits of 2004.

In this day and age, that's very, very weird.

Hmm...that and Goldeneye 007 might just go on my list of "good" movie games.

Well, Rareware and Nintendo were sorta on a roll back then. Everyone expected GoldenEye to be good.
