Title: SPC Tees
Post by: Violet on July 20, 2005, 01:27:01 pm
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=312&item=5377997256&rd=1&ssPageName=WD1V (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=312&item=5377997256&rd=1&ssPageName=WD1V) I ordered a girl's for me and a men's for my cousin, I'll tell you if they are any good once they arrive.  Not "official" obviously, since they are made to order, and personally I'd rather have a different design than the Saban poster, but it's not like you can just find a Pizza Cats t-shirt anywhere, so I'm going to grab one.  It's on eBay Australia, but they ship internationally.

The print is really that of the so-called Pizza Cat Movie. But I like the idea of SPC merchandise.
They could rise like a flame-born phoenix, particurly with us Pizza Cat lovers.
I prefer a different style too and have tees with numerous characters.
Creating your own custom T-shirt is possible, just needs some items of course.
How about for boys of any age: Speedy, Guido, BB, Emperor Fred & Rescue Team.
And girls of any age: Polly, Francine, Lucille, Vi & a pose of the Pointless Sisters. Maybe a cross-dressing could be likely.
Yeah, these sound like best sellers in my book.
And it may not only be tees, there's Jackets, Coats, Pyjamas and maybe a DIY SPC kit for kiddies and adults a like.
YEAH, in this day and age, SPC needs to be recognised and never forgotten.

Yeah, that was used on the Saban VHS tape box, but I have a poster that was sent to me back when I wrote a letter to Saban that has the same design, it was apparently sent out to TV stations to promote the show, and Saban had some left over sitting around.  Several SPC fans who wrote to Saban were sent one of these, but they ran out pretty quick once the word got out.

it would be more interesting to see the KNT CD covers on newer T-shirts.

I ordered one, I've decided to pay with a money order because paypal hates my credit card for some reason. (>:()  Hopefully it will show up reasonably soon and not five months from now :O which has happened to me before when buying stuff from overseas.

That's interesting, but I'd rather make my own T-shirt. I'd get it if it had a better SPC picture,

I'd like a better picture too.  But, I'll buy just about anything with SPC/KNT.  I bought the Famicom game and I don't even have anything to play it on.  (but I have the ROM on my computer)  I have some odd stuff, like a SPC belt, and a French kid's puzzle with Polly and Guido.

OK, I got these t-shirts in.  100% cotton, pretty high quality as t-shirts go.  The SPC design is printed on real thick, it looks like an old "iron-on" decal, but, having examined it closely, I can see it is on there real good, so much so that you can see the individual threads of the cloth under the design.  So, I'm not really worried about it coming off.  Being so thick though, I wouldn't wear it when it's hot out, because it would be like wearing a sheet of plastic on your chest.  It'd be fine for fall or spring, or if you're going to be indoors.

Like any other shirt of this type, I'm sure the design will start to show it's age after it has been worn and washed for a while, but it is pretty well made, so it should last you long enough that you'd get your money's worth out of it.  Turn it inside out to wash it,  hang it to dry instead of using a machine, and it will last a long time.

My conclusion:
Were they worth the money?  Yes, they are everything the seller says they are.
Could they be better?  Yes.  There are other ways to print full color on a tshirt, but they have their flaws too.  I would like a better design than Saban's.
Should you get it?  That depends on you.
