Well, seems like turning anime's into live action films is the thing to do in Hollywood. Akira's in the works, Cowboy Beebop, Avatar: the Last Airbender (though technically not anime though anime-looking) ... so what about SPC? :D Yeah, I know. But just for fun, who would you cast in a hypothetical movie? I already know who the characters themselves would pick (based on comments they've made in the episodes):

:speedy: Clint Eastwood! Or Tom Cruise? He loves 'Top Gun', remember

:polly:  Sigourney Weaver

:guido: Seems to have a big thing for Fred Astaire, and mentioned he played the lead in 'Cat On a Hot Tin Roof'. A young Paul Newman, maybe?

:violet:  Madonna!

Personally, I would chose ...

:speedy: The only actor I could see pulling off Speedy is a young Michael J. Fox

:polly: Zooey Deschenal, or a young Meg Ryan (when they've got they're hair dyed red, of course)

:guido: Hugh Jackman! I'll also accept a young Antonio Banderas 

:francine: Jennifer Aniston. Not sure why really, they kind of have the same hair colour ...

:bigcheese: Angelina Jolie! Because the resemblance is uncanny ...  ::)

I imagine the cats would most likely be CGI, by today's standards. If it was made back then, a live action flick probably could have happened seeing as how the TMNT movies were back then. Anyway, as far as voice acting goes, I'm not sure. I'll have to come back.

To be perfectly honest, I think this is the worst idea ever. I hate how everything needs a live action movie these days. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. For SPC, it definitely doesn't. Animation needs more love.

CGI or flash wouldn't be so bad, though I'm not too partial to your story proposal there (the planet of Little Tokyo?). But this is because I'm a crabby old kitty who doesn't like OC stuff much anymore.

A live action movie? It would be an insult. If there must be a SPC film, it has to be an animation film

yes, a real live action movie wouldn't work. however, as a few have pointed out, this is just hypothetical and for fun!
that means speculating about which actors would work best/act the most like the characters from SPC, NOT that this forum is going to write, cast and shoot a movie or anything.

You're lucky.. It was an awful film. I, however, did not have the pleasure of not seeing it... but then again it was kind of my own fault for going out to see it in the first place.  ::)

However, Dragonball: the Magic Begins is mindbogglingly funny/bad.

A SPC Live Action Movie would never work, even if it was funny... I mean even if they just made people wear cheap marks, plastic cats ears and that... well... is a bad idea...
