Anyone a fan of this anime? Alot of people are. I used to watch the English version when I was young but now I love the japanese version.

loved it when I was like five... then when I turned six i started to un-like(?) it more and more

You got to be kidding me. It's one of the most popular "magical girl" animes out there.

I'm not familiar with magical girl animes, tell me more about magical girl animes.  You seem to be a magical girl animes expert.

I'm pretty sure I saw a few episodes when I was a kid...do I remember it?  No.

Salor Moon... Oh the sweet memories of youth.
This and Dragon Ball were my initial initiation into the world of Anime & Manga... Even though I didn't realize it until many many many many many many MANY years later.

I mainly liked it due to the art style. It was unlike anything I'd seen before. There was just something about the eyes, the faces, and the expressions that each character showed. What upset me the most is how the series one day just ended. It just stopped... right at an aggravating plot point! ARGGG!!!  >:[


Looking back at it now, if I were to say which parts of it I liked the most, I would say it was the initial storyline with Queen Berril as the main villain. After that, the 2nd storyline with the Tree of Whatever & the weird Brother and Sister.

... Then the series began suffering from what I call "Dragon Ball Z Syndrome."
Yet another villain comes in to fill the void, and this one somehow seems to be bigger, badder, and tougher than the last.
And we enter into a vicious cycle where our heroes fight... they cry... they struggle... and they win. In the end... there has been no character or behind the scenes advancement. We're back where we started... WAITING FOR THE NEXT UBER VILLAIN!!!  >:[

I watched up to like the end of the first storyline.

Then I questioned my sexuality.

And then I walked away, promising to never watch this again.

Japanese or English?

Now to spill it out: I'm a guy and I still like Sailor Moon!

Mostly for the artwork from the anime. I'd like to know who that artist was - he/she nearly destroyed him/herself to churn out such a large amount of official arts for the series. I respect that.

I watched the 2000 episodes a lot of years ago... I really liked trhat cartoon, I think cause Usagi's school performing was almost the same that mine... Another grat example of how a stupid leader can be rewally badass when the situation needs him/her...

I really don't understand why it's shameful to be a guy and like Sailor Moon. How can you NOT like Sailor Moon? Am I the only one who notices the totally hot girls in matching uniforms?

I've never seen this but I'd like to get into it.  Anyone got any suggestions as to where I should start?  BTW, I always think Jupiter's hair looks kinda like mine.

Look for a youtube user called "SailorMoonUpload" and you'll see some of the episodes at this person's account. Not all of the episodes are there but he/she plans to upload them all. Note that these are the original japanese episodes, I'm talking about. :)

The continuity of the series got really screwed after the first season... if you have watched the first episodes you would notice that certain Sailor that apears as a popular fictional character (Even having its own videogame), laters joins the Sailor team.

Sailor V? I thought that was because... I'll have to watch it again.

Heh, this things tend to happen, like in the first Season of Static shock, when Virgil once remarked that "even Clark Kent had a day job."

I watched the regular americanized series, and had some dubbed episodes/movies with my cousin way back in the day when VHS was cool. I found that I enjoyed the dubbed versions because things were a little different, but they're pretty close as far as the first couple seasons go. There are the obvious differences like Nephlite and what's his/her-name and there were a couple things that were a bit more risque in the dubbed (can't remember what they were now).

This for the most part was my first Anime. Loved it back when I was a kid. Unfortunately, this series suffered from the same fate as Dragon Ball Z. THEY FREAKING STARTED IT, AND STOPPED AT A GOOD POINT LEAVING ME IN LIMBO FOR 5 YEARS.

I find myself liking the first 2 "seasons." If you want me to be specific, the stories are the "Negaverse" saga, and then the "Tree" saga. After that... the series began dragging very bad for me.

Definitely agree with you there. With Sailor Minimoon, it all just went downhill.....

Sailor Moon R and S had nice stories, Chibiusa was inda cute when she was little... Anyway, after SAilor Moon Super S started the series lost something... The monsters became stupid although Queen Neherenia had an excellent voice in thew latin version, one of the bests that I've heard...

I hered a very strange line on episode 3...
"Ok! I'm Gay!"
WTH?!?!
I lost intrest for it on the 3rd episode.

Besides, i lost intrest, but maybe i'll try the manga.

The comic has a lot more of gay content, it also is so much girlier... The animated version is better for the neutral male audience...
