Title: Worst Games. Post by: Crow on November 27, 2008, 07:46:53 am Name some of the WORST games you've ever played/rented/bought and now wish you haven't.
In before any of the AVGN reviews or games he has done, I want personal experiences! Mine is a game on Steam called Trackmania, a racing game, and is total balls. ~Le Spy. Title: Re: Worst Games. Title: Re: Worst Games. Post by: blind2d on November 27, 2008, 11:10:15 am Tony Hawk's Proving Ground. Just sad how detailed the graphics are... and how frustrating the gameplay is. Curse you, Lord of 900!
Title: Re: Worst Games. Post by: Threaux on November 27, 2008, 01:51:10 pm Wolfquest is both hilarious and terrible. I smell elk!

gaah its HORRIBLE Title: Re: Worst Games. Post by: Mechadon on November 28, 2008, 12:33:13 pm I've said it before and I'll say it again. The Thing. I love the movie, but this game is atrocious.
The entire game is a blatant lie. The game that the box describes is not the game that's on the disk. It promises a dynamic system of fear and trust amongst your squad that is non-existent in the product. The game manual states that the likelihood of a team member becoming infected is correlated with the amount of exposure they have with the enemy, and how often they have been attacked. But with every play through, the same people get infected at the same time. It's all scripted. I've posted this video review before, but it's essential in knowing the true hideousness of this game. http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=AfVRnVCzq5c http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=16dfCv-yQgE I'll have you know that this is a review that inspired Zero Punct. It is as hard as the Nerd says it is.

Worst. Christmas. Gift. Ever. 2004 was almost the best Christmas ever if it wasn't for that piece of crap. SEMPER FI Title: Re: Worst Games. Post by: blind2d on December 02, 2008, 10:03:33 am space invaders. just kidding, that's my favorite game of all time.
for reals, I'll go with... Star Wars for the gameboy color. Title: Re: Worst Games. Post by: MitchZer0 on December 02, 2008, 09:29:38 pm obviously, E.T. and action 52

As for worst games I've ever played/borrowed/rented, I'd have to go with...ATV quad power racing. Just...no, I don't want to talk about it. Title: Re: Worst Games. Post by: rcom88 on November 13, 2015, 08:10:37 pm I'm way late on this one, but there is one particular game (above all others) that I wanted to mention. The worst game that I've ever played is: Space Ace (SNES version). The game is very cheap with its one hit deaths, clunky controls, and the Space Maze with no map.
I'll never forget one particular Saturday afternoon that I spent trying to navigate through it. Yeah, I found some levels, but it got to a point where I wasn't able to get to new levels due to unknowingly finding the same portals that I found before. Needless to say, it was very frustrating. Title: Re: Worst Games. Post by: rcom88 on December 04, 2015, 04:44:51 am I also remember renting Batman Forever for the SNES. As a kid, I liked it kind of because I was able to play as Robin, and I liked Robin as a kid. But looking back, and watching someone do a longplay on it, I realize that this game is horrible--repetitive enemies, slow combat, weird controls, and there are some parts that are just cryptic.

I remember playing that game as a kid too. I also remember enjoying it back then when quality wasn't as big of a deal to me. Looking back on it now though, it is easy to see how bad it really was. I can't say I've played too many awful games lately though. Title: Re: Worst Games. Post by: rcom88 on December 07, 2015, 04:47:35 pm I also remember renting Batman Forever for the SNES. I can't say I've played too many awful games lately though. I played it again (some time after watching the Angry Video Game Nerd cover it) and I saw how horrible it really was; looking back, while he didn't influence my thinking of the game, I can see where he's coming from. I also look at it as me looking at things differently as an adult. |
