Title: Things you're ashamed of - but still admit doing.
Post by: Kitsune on August 10, 2005, 11:10:44 pm
Time for one of those threads.

My most recent DVD acquisition is something of a guilty pleasure - yet at the same time, something I am ashamed of.

I bought House of the Dead on DVD. It only cost me $2.50, but still - I bought it.

Anyone have any similar stories?

Buying a joystick for my computer.

Lets just say that, It's just crap, and the worst spent $10 I know of right now.

And also dating this one chick, she was so self-centered, it was sad. :'(

I'll watch "info-mercials" and "Home shopping" on late night TV when I'm not working.  No, I'd never buy anything from either, but the stupidity of it all just makes me want to watch it, sort of like not being able to look away from a terrible accident.

I've done that myself for some reason :D

Drugs? Nah, I'm not terribly ashamed of those.

Hmm, spending more money than I should.

Cussing, though I'm not ashamed of it since it's a great stress reliever. Trust me kiddies...when you all grow up you'll understand...

The only thing I ever really feel guilty about is not contributing enough to those I know and those I live with. Although I often have certain circumstances preventing me from doing my best, I sometimes think my family's right when they say I'm too lazy.

Collecting "and reading" Sonic the Hedgehog comic books.  Started at issue #4 in the 90's now #150 just came out. :O

Also they managed to release the Sonic Underground series on DVD, and thats way more obscure than SPC! ?:|

i've heard talk that the comics' storyline is pretty much screwed up these days, thanks to a certain writer who's been watching too much Star Trek, too much Stargate, and too many soap operas.

This is sorta true, there is a new writer that has come under a lot of fire from fans, some like the new stuff while some hate it. There is alot of drama and plot twists with darker, more adult themes. But in the end at least it's still new material (not just sonic saves the day every issue). That makes the storyline continue to be interesting.  As for the art style, It improves every time and that's what I buy them for and focus on the most. :D

What sucked about Sonic Underground was that it strayed way too far from the game storyline. I mean, the first two American series were pretty distant from the games as well but this one really put the nail in the coffin. C'mon, musical instruments? Musical scenes? Sonic having a sister who sounded exactly like Steve Urkel?

The original Adventures series was at least funny and the SatAM one had quite a few memorable moments.

I ashamed I wasn't more assertive in stopping my little brother from buying a "VideoNow".
Stupidest successful product ever.

Just making sure, you do know that the 3 main Hedgehogs in that series were all voiced by Jaleel White, who also played Steve Urkel, right?
Though I do admit, they should've hired an actual female voice actor to play that role.

Jaleel White should voice everything. He is the Eddie Murphey of voice acting. :-*

Hmmm.....

Oh!  Got one!!!

I watched Power Rangers:  Dino Thunder because I heard that Jason Frank was reprising his role as Tommy (and he did).  It wasmn't that great of a show, but Tommy was in it!

You should've watched AbaRanger instead! Now THAT was an awesome experience!  :D

I really can't think of anything I'm ashamed of. I'm proud of everything I do. Though some times I'm so outspoken I make those around me feel ashamed, but that's not my problem now is it?

Here I coexist with people... who are almost 20 years younger than me too!
