Title: Pirate game disscussion Post by: MitchZer0 on August 02, 2009, 06:16:07 pm Since I saw no topic in this forum about pirated games, I think I will start one.
I have been very interested in pirated NES roms, looking in them in tile layer pro, and un-fold pirate mystery's, for one, i found out super contra 7 was made by waixing, and found out that waixing's crappy super fighter game uses cony's fighting engine and waixing was too lazy to get the cony logo out. Well, in this topic, you can explain the pirated games, the company who made it, and what ever you could find inside it. Title: Re: Pirate game disscussion Post by: felineki on August 02, 2009, 06:58:21 pm Some of my favorite pirated games are the various hacks of Street Fighter II: Champion Edition. Apparently the CPS1 arcade boards had little or no safeguards against copying and modification which lead to a bunch of hacked SF2CE clones being created and marketed after SF2 became a huge hit. These featured all sorts of bizarre modifications that completely wrecked the gameplay in various hilarious ways.
The specifics varied from hack to hack, but among the most infamous effects were: Every character having a projectile move (Blanka's electricity would cause him to shoot a Sonic Boom out of his face, Chun Li's Lightning Kick would cause her to launch a Hadouken out of her foot while laughing (?), etc.), completely overpowered special moves (Ryu/Ken's Shoryuken would laucnh about a dozen homing Hadoukens, Guile could throw rapid-fire no-charge Sonic Booms with no restriction as to how many could be on screen simultaneously, etc.), various odd/broken mechanics (ability to perform any special move in midair, ability to attack out of hitstun, meaning you could instantly counterattack whenever you were hit, etc.), and other various oddities (background clouds moving at hyper speed, poorly-modified movement/positioning routines leading to characters sliding across the ground and various backdriop objects floating up into the sky, etc.). Apparently these hacks ended up taking enough business away from Capcom's official version that it was one of the reasons behind developing the next version of SF2: Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting. PS. This thread is rated ARRRRRRR! Title: Re: Pirate game disscussion Post by: felineki on August 03, 2009, 08:26:56 pm At the very bottom of this page (http://superfamicom.org/famicom/cover.php), you can see what appears to be a pirated version of the KNT Famicom/NES game. Compare to the official version a few spaces above. Note how parts of :speedy: are missing due to sloppy erasure of the logo from the original cartridge art. :P
Title: Re: Pirate game disscussion Post by: MitchZer0 on August 03, 2009, 08:33:10 pm on my laptop, i had a rom which was called ninja cat 9 in 1, it's the knt game, but you can select which level you want to start on

(Even the bad edited image with the difference that the mine has the words NINJA CAT over the kyattoninden kanjis and the black case) It was the first videogame cartidge that I ever owned and I bought it a couple of days after watch the last SPC episode... Some guy stole the cartridge from me a couple of years later... I also got the captain Tsubasa cartirdge with the same image (My country just get all the pirated stuff and the original games are too much expensive) Title: Re: Pirate game disscussion Post by: MitchZer0 on August 10, 2009, 09:33:02 am any one heard of cony, you know the makers of that crappy nes port of world heroes 2 with sonic and a fat ass mario
well, they made lots of pirated fighters with the same repetitive KO tune Title: Re: Pirate game disscussion Post by: MitchZer0 on September 02, 2009, 06:35:58 pm and now about waixing, they make the worse music ever for the nes, but they are not as bad as mars, one of their aliases
they made biohazard for the nes (yes, the game exists) heres some biohazard music http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yVpEWrJpp5A biohazard nes music.wav (http://www.4shared.com/file/129731690/23751c0b/biohazard_nes_music.html) Title: Re: Pirate game disscussion Post by: Gabya on October 24, 2009, 05:03:31 am what new PC games I should get for my computer. East India Company is pretty fun.... if you're in to the whole 1600 ship combat / trading genre that is. ps. driving companies into bankruptcy by the use of privateers (kinda like pirates, which makes this relevant to the thread) is FUN! Title: Re: Pirate game disscussion Post by: sjonnoh on October 24, 2009, 02:40:59 pm if it's a pc game then you probably have to search for FFVII + crack so you can install the game on your pc without that you'll need a cd...also, I heard that shortly all torrents will be removed...
