I don't think it suits her ... plus a Manx cat typically doesn't have a tail! Seeing as its not official, I've been thinking about what surname would suit her character better.

It doesn't suit her and it was just made up by someone who thought she should have a surname. But yeah, it seems most of the other SPC characters do have one.
Unlike Polly Ester and Speedy Servic(h)e, you can't make a good pun out of "Francine". If I were a SPC writer, I would have probably stuck with the pizza theme and named her something like Francine Focaccia (pizza crust). "Francine Tabbyworth" is one I've seen a couple times in recent years, but doesn't sit quite as well with me. Just because Francine isn't a Manx doesn't mean she can't have the last name Manx, like how Tigriss isn't a tigress, or how not everyone with the last name "Smith" is actually a smith.

Francine has a nice sound to it, I like it a lot and since the show never gave her a last name maybe we should leave it at that.
