Title: Real World "Pizza Cat" Pizzeria Post by: felineki on August 30, 2009, 11:17:55 am Apparently there is an actual chain of pizza restaurants in Korea called "Pizza Cat". Here's their website (http://www.pizzacat.com/). And here's a photo (http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n57/felineki/DSC_0386.jpg) of one of their pizza boxes (note the little cat face shape in the center of the second "a"). I came across the latter during an image search for "ピザキャット" ("Pizza Cat" written in katakana), and the website address was visible in the photo. The photo came from a blog post (http://www.kang-ken.com/kangken-blog/2009/05/post-7.html) about an academic meeting in Korea. The photo was accompanied with this rather amusing sentence: "Pizza... Cat? Seems like I've heard that somewhere before, but maybe it's just my imagination?" :D

(I'm pretty sure some SPC fan owned that domain at some point back in the day) Looking back with archive.org (http://www.archive.org), it seems that www.pizzacat.com (http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.pizzacat.com) has been about this pizzeria chain at least as far back as 2001. (They had a cute logo (http://web.archive.org/web/20030603190901/http://www.pizzacat.com/) around 2003!) www.pizzacats.com (http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.pizzacats.com) did use to be a SPC fansite, but it seems to have closed around 2001.Title: Re: Real World "Pizza Cat" Pizzeria Post by: blind2d on August 30, 2009, 05:40:51 pm Interesting....

Title: Re: Real World "Pizza Cat" Pizzeria Post by: Mechadon on August 31, 2009, 10:43:19 am I'd have to agree with Kage. I'd hold back on the meatlovers just to be safe. Awesome find though.
Title: Re: Real World "Pizza Cat" Pizzeria Post by: Razgrizblaze1 on August 31, 2009, 04:40:19 pm Lol, that's quite a hilarious find! I can't believe that a restaurant chain actually carries the name "Pizza Cat"! Do they have a cannon mounted on top of each restaurant branch? :francine:

But, I guess thats because they are smart to know that the only real winner are the lawyers... Title: Re: Real World "Pizza Cat" Pizzeria Post by: cabbage on September 23, 2009, 08:48:39 am Whoa!
