Title: the project is back Post by: ApacheMan2K on August 29, 2005, 09:07:48 pm i'm sure some of you guys remember Tommy Watson, who posted about his own SPC game project. well, he wants me to say that he is not dead, and neither is his project. he says he doesn't want to rain on Guido64380's parade, but -- as he also says -- he's been working longer than him. he hadn't really figured out which path he wanted to take, but now he believes he has.
finally, he has asked me to post these images below (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v513/kungpow12345/realbattle.gif) (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v513/kungpow12345/3a4bc4a6.gif) oh, and i forgot to mention the current cast so far: Speedy Cerviche -- TBD Polly Ester -- TBD Guido Anchovy -- TBD Francine -- TBD Momma-san -- TBD Junior -- TBD Lucille -- TBD Emperor Fred -- TBD Princess Vi -- TBD Seymour "Big" Cheese -- ApacheMan2K Jerry Atrick -- BurkeWorld Bad Bird -- TBD Narrator -- BurkeWorld Misc. Voices -- Kitsune Sniper TBD if anyone wants to try out for any of the unfilled roles, please IM me or Tommy on AIM at "tawatson84278" [remove quote marks], and send any of us an e-mail with your recordings (.wavs or .mp3s only, please). thanks, all! ~ Am2k Title: Re: the project is back Post by: Threaux on August 29, 2005, 10:10:06 pm wow, that looks really cool. A new SPC game! 8) Sadly, I have no voice acting talents and cannot help you out there. If you need any help with music, midi or otherwise, let me know because I love working on stuff for games/game mods.
now if we could only get the flash project going again... Title: Re: the project is back Post by: Guido64380 on August 29, 2005, 11:13:20 pm Parade not rained on. We brought big enough umbrellas. I think I'll leave him to do the platform fighter game and make my game a series of SPC mini-games or something, mabey an SPC racing.
P.S. if you need anything from me, don't hesitate to ask. Title: Re: the project is back Post by: SBaby on August 30, 2005, 10:24:00 pm Oh yeah! I heard about that game. It's like an old school arcade-style beat em up! And aren't the characters each supposed to have their own super attack too?
Yeah, finish it, seriously! I'll play that over and over again! Title: Re: the project is back Post by: Schweinkenstein on September 07, 2005, 10:13:15 pm Cool. Hopefully it'll be easy to hack/change around for developers that want to add onto it later on.
Title: Re: the project is back Post by: Anonymous on September 13, 2005, 11:14:43 pm i will put my name down for something.
I'm a cartoon editor so have done some voice acting in the past. Also if you need ANY audio ripped from the series you only have to ask. Neko. As a FYI, i start a degree in a week, which is "computer games design with computer games programming and software engineering" so don't be too surprised if we don't see a 3D SPC game materialise as my year 3 project. ;) Neko Title: Re: the project is back Post by: ApacheMan2K on September 14, 2005, 12:47:24 am i will put my name down for something. Title: Re: the project is back Post by: BurkeWorld on October 03, 2005, 09:54:40 am I'll have to brush up on my Attric and Narrator voice.
*Ahem* Burkey Title: Re: the project is back Post by: D-Mac on October 05, 2005, 01:03:53 am Goemon Backgrounds? :O The similarities between Ganbare Goemon and SPC/KNT are uncanny. :O But if you're just trying to point out the clash between 8-Bit sprites and 16-Bit backgrounds, then I do see where you're coming from. Title: Re: the project is back Post by: Methid Man on October 09, 2005, 11:52:24 pm I think I might provide some miscellaneous voices. I can do lots of cartoony voices if that matters. Though first, I'll have to make a demo reel.
Dunno about the main SPC cast though... -- Sam the Methid Man Title: Re: the project is back Post by: D-Mac on October 10, 2005, 03:53:12 am I think I might provide some miscellaneous voices. Title: Re: the project is back Post by: SonikkuKitten on October 25, 2005, 02:50:05 pm Goodness, I as wondering what happend since I was supposed to be doing additional artwork and possible animations. Will I still be needed? ?:|
Title: Re: the project is back Post by: ApacheMan2K on October 25, 2005, 02:53:03 pm only if you still want to lend a hand ;)
Title: Re: the project is back Post by: SonikkuKitten on October 25, 2005, 03:15:29 pm only if you still want to lend a hand ;) Sure, I'm willing to lend a hand! :-* Title: Re: the project is back Post by: CyberFox on January 19, 2006, 11:26:37 pm i will put my name down for something. Title: Re: the project is back Post by: ApacheMan2K on February 27, 2006, 04:01:06 pm if they're used the wrong way. unfortunately, a lot of 3D games -- particularly for N64 and PS1 -- have suffered from camera angle issues.
Title: Re: the project is back Post by: Anonymous on February 28, 2006, 06:38:13 am i won't need to worry about camera angles. i know how to program camera's quite well already, and a simple button to reset the camera would all it would need if there is a possibility the camera may go awry.
the main engine for the game is about 40% complete. i'll be posting stuff up about it at some point. I have access to an audio lab here at school with mikes so I can have some audio samples for ya by mid next week
Title: Re: the project is back Post by: rcom88 on October 09, 2014, 01:40:40 am I'm way, way late on this. However, I'd like to at least contribute something to it.
The game looks great; hope to be able to play it. Title: Re: the project is back Post by: rcom88 on October 18, 2016, 11:53:59 pm I don't sound anything like the characters here, but I could always try to send a few samples.
