Edoropolis Emporium

(with Kyo busy and in the final stages of the latest story, I thought Id start a new story myself...with no superpowers, no Mary Sues...and hopefully no whining from a certain someone...)

Its a beautiful Saturday in Little Tokyo, but not all is calm everywhere...

Dash: GRAMS! Where the heck did I put my cologne?!?
Grams: Dash, calm down...she's just coming for a visit for a week...its not like your egetting ready to get married or anything
Dash: Yeah I know but you have to realize, I want to make a good impression because this is her first visit to Little Tokyo
Grams: Well just be yourself and Im sure itll go fine.

Suddenly the doorbell rings...

Dash: I'LL GET IT!!!

Dash quickly flew down the stairs and ripped the door open.

Dash: Oh...hey Romero...I thought it was Ashley...
Romero: (laughs) sorry to get your hopes up man...so she's making her first visit out here huh?
Dash: yeah...we've been dating almost 6 months and she finally was able to talk her parents into letting her fly out to see me. For the most part we'd been keeping in touch by webcam.

Panzer was right behind Romero, having been hanging out with him throughout the day so far.

Panzer: "Mind if I ask a question? What constitutes a date in an long distance relationship over the net?"

Romero: Hehe...well I should give you some pointers then, Dash my ol' man...the dating world can be a cruel and heartless mistress...She'll play with your heart...take up and down...buy you dinner...and then make you pay the bill knowing tyhat you don't have any money...*starts sobbing* All those dishes....i had dish pan hands for a month....

Romero hangs his head in shame...

Grams came over...

Grams: There there child...Ive talked to Dash and Ashley and made sure that there wont be anything like that happening
Dash: yeah...oh and Panzer, really all we can do is just have little webcam and Skype "dates" because of the distance factor. We went official on my last visit back to the states (OOC: check out the Little Tokyo Offbeats story about the trip...I'll post the link to it later).

(Phone rings)
Grams: you talk to your friends, young man...after seeing the way you flew down the stairs I dont want to have to repalce anything expensive, so I'll get the phone. (answers it)
Dash: Another thing Romero, Ashley and I have been friends since middle school so we know each other pretty well...as long as I take care of her she will take care of me, and as long as we honor the boundaries we set, things should go great.
Grams: Dash, that was Ashley. She says her flight was a bit delayed but she just touched down at the airport. You ready?
Dash: Yeah, Im ready...Romero, you and Panzer can come over later. I just want it to be me, Grams and Ashley in the car at this point.
Romero: That's cool bro...
Panzer: Aww come on...I want to meet this girl and make sure she isnt some 4 foot gnome or something...(Dash punches him in the arm) Im just sayin...
Grams: Come on...you got the flowers we picked out?
Dash: (picks them up off the table) Yes ma'am...
Grams, alright...your sisters are with the babysitter so we can get them on the way back. Lets just hope they didnt tie her to anything like the last one...

(OOC: Well here is the story from Dash's Trip to America: http://www.edoropolis.org/forums/index.php?topic=1865.0 Just so you know Ashley never did get to go to LT over Thanksgiving...her parents weren't too keen on her flying out by herself...but after seeing her talking to Dash many nights at her computer, she told them what was up and they let her go this time...Dash will be making a return trip to America to spend time with Ashley and her family but that is for a later Creator's Corner)

Romero: turned to Panzer and started to whisper in his ear* We're not going to let some girl break up the group huh? The 3 Amigos! We gotta go and spy on them! What do ya say?

Dash waited nervously at the gate...he had been waiting for a chance for Ashley to visit ever since he left the US after his trip. She finally came out of the door. She was wearing a blue t-shirt, and something that Dash had never seen on her before...a skirt.

Dash: Hey...how was your..

Before he could get the last word out, she dropped her backpack and ran over. she grabbed him and squeezed him like Elmyra from Tiny Toon Adventures (90s reset)
Dash: trip? (as his face started to turn blue)
Ashley: Im SO excited to see you!!!
Dash: I couldnt tell...could you let go please...Im about to pass out...
Ashley: Oh sorry...(lets go)
Dash: These are for you...
Ashley (takes flowers): Aww!!! (BTW the boys back home do NOT know I said that) Theyre beautiful!
Dash: Just like you...
Ashley blushed...
Dash: Come on, Grams is waiting at baggage claim. We need to go pick up my sisters Amy and Kia and make sure they didnt drive the babysitter insane.
Ashley: Oh yeah, that might be good...

So the two of them walked hand in hand and met up with Dash's grandmother at baggage claim.

Grams was already waiting by the baggage claim with Ashley's bags (she had to wait for everyone else to get theirs before she could figure out which ones to take)

Dash: hey Grams, well...this is Ashley...
Grams, so I gathered...well young lady looks like youve grown an awful lot since I last saw you...
Ashley: thanks Mrs St Pierre...yeah a lot has changed since you were last in the states.
Grams: well, Id love to chat but we need to get going...I got a call from the babysitter and seems Kia managed to get herself stuck in the crawlspace...again...
Dash: if it isnt one thing with those two...its another...(Ashley chuckled) Oh yeah while youre in town you can meet my friends Panzer and Romero...I wonder what those two are up to...

Romero had convinced Panzer to to come and spy on Dash and Ashley. Using his bothers idea of dressing up as a really tall person Romero had Panzer on his shoulders...

Romero *stuggleing* Ugh...Y-You see them? P-Panzer?

Panzer: No, Romero my friend, it's hard to see anything over the crowd... and the bomb-sniffing dogs... and the four fine airport security men with assault rifles aimed at my head. O_o!

Romero: *paincing* Abort plan A! Bail out! Bail out!

Romero started running away carrying Panzer on top as he made a mad dash outta the air port...

Dash, Ashley and Grams were just getting to the car when Ashley saw teh tall person (who turned out to be Romero and Panzer) fall down.

Ashley: Hey maybe we should help that guy out...
Dash: yeah...hey Grams can you give us a minute
Grams: sure, but be quick, remember we need to pick up your sisters
Dash: yeah this shouldnt take long

So Dash and Ashley hustled back to the sliding doors and they went to help the man up, but as they lifted him up...

Ashley: Uhh...what is that?
Dash: what is...(notices two little feet)of course...you know you two, youre my friends and all but seriously...I thought we went over this...
Romero: Dash, when we heard about a girlfriend we worried that she'd get in the way of the three of us
Dash: (chuckles) Seriously guys, Ashley is my gf but we'll always be friends and that wont change no matter what.
Panzer: How can we be so sure...
Dash produced a piece of paper signed by all three of them that very simply stated "Let this record show that the undersigned have vowed to remain the best of friends come hell or highwater and nothing (not even girls) will ever change that..."
Dash: Now come on...Grams is waiting for us and we can have some of her great curry...

Romero: *sighs* hmmm...fine...i give...curry sounds nice...*starts crying* It not fair Dash gets a girl and I don't!!! It's the Anchovy curse I tell ya!!!!

Dash: (chuckles) Hey man, we can talk about it later...

Romero: Yeah yeah...So Ashley I haven't seen you since the whole...mashmallow monster incident...how have you and the others been?

Ashley: Been doing alright...karlos joined the soccer team at school and gary and Brock are still on the football team. I am still going to football games and laughing at the cheerleaders and I still dress like a guy (although as you can see I am wearing a skirt and I havent spontaneously combusted...) but other than that things are going well...oh and of course talking to Dash every night...mom and dad have pretty much given up on me going to bed at a reasonable hour anymore...

Romero: Ah I see...they certainly liked sports so i don't doubt they'll become pros...

Dash and Ashley nodded. "yeah, Gary has a couple scholarship offers but he hasnt made a decision yet," Dash said, "and Karlos is playing travel soccer right now but doesnt have plans to play in college. Brock might try to walk on wherever Gary goes..."

Finally they pull into the driveway and walk to the front door. Grams opens the door and see's the babysitter, looking calm. "The girls were a bit of a handful, but thankfully I was able to settle them down. they didnt tie me to anything this time which was a welcome change as well. Kia did get stuck in the crawlspace but I was able to get her out and she is napping in her room after a nice bath. Amy is right here...where did she...(looks up and sees Amy on teh ceiling) Oh man..." Grams chuckled.

Grams: Its ok, we'll take it from here...I'll have Dash drop your check off first thing tomorrow. thanks again Sharon..." So the babysitter headed home and the group immediately set out to get Amy off teh ceiling. "How many times have we told you not to use your abilities with the babysitter?" Grams said very calmly.

Amy hopped off the ceiling. 'But its fun..." she whined. "I know its fun but we told you not to...and you know better. If it wasnt for me that girl would be going to the news and telling them about the freak show she works for. Go to your room...youre grounded for the rest of the week. I'll be up to take your computer in a few minutes once I get the food started" Amy poked her lip out but Grams was resolute, so she fixed her face and went to her room.

Romero: Well I don't want to be a bother to you two you probably got a lot of catching up to do...so I'll probally go back home...

Romero turned to leave the St.Pierre's...

Dash: Hey we've got the whole week to catch up. Stick around, besides you'll love Grams' curry...its not too hot either

Romero: I guess so...I don't want to be a bother...so what are we all going to do until then?

Ashley: Hey, who's up for a little ODST? Ive been playing back in teh states and could use some butts to kick
Dash: Hey now, I beat you last time we played on XBOX Live...
Ashley: That's because I let you win
Dash: Ha, in your dreams cupcake...where's my controller...
Romero: Well I havent played in a couple weeks but I think a good throwdown is in order (Man Dash is right, she does act like one of the guys...)

Dash: HA! That's three in a row for me...
Romero: Man Dash, you are pretty good...
Ashley: Yeah he's ok...
Panzer: The man just beat us all three in a row...I think that classifies as more than ok...
Ashley: Yeah I guess youre right... (smiles)
Grams: Alright guys, food's ready!

The four of them raced out of the room and headed for the kitchen, following the aroma of curry

(Im tryin to stick to just one story arc here BC so if you want to do a Creator's Corner, that isnt a problem)

Romero looked at the curry and his stomach growled at him. He was a hungry cat...

Romero: I hope it's not too spicy...

Dash chuckled. "Grams never makes it too spicy...she just makes sure I get a bottle of hot sauce with my first plate...so you should be fine."

Romero: I see...oh yeah i heard that the little tokyo carnival was in town...Me and Panzer where going to head over...did you guys want to come?

Dash looked at Ashley and she just smiled and nodded.
Dash: Sure, carnivals are fun...especially those carney games (which we know are rigged but hey its gun to try at least)

*Panzer leans over and sniffs the curry, and makes a face.*

Panzer: Hey, Dash could you pass the hot sauce, and tell your Gram's she doesn't need to hold back on the spice if I'm over.

Dash: No problem bud...she just knows I like my stuff hot...but she doesnt want to ruin it for anybody else.
Panzer: No worries man...(puts about 3 or 4 shakes of the hot sauce on his curry)
Dash: Oh I probably should have warned you about that hot sauce...
Panzer: (takes a bite out of his curry) why's that?

Panzer sat for a moment, and then his face turned a bright shade of red and he charged out the door

Grams: Why didnt you tell him that was the hottest hot sauce in Little Tokyo?
Dash: Sorry...I grabbed the first bottle I saw...
Grams: Sigh...come on guys, looks like somebody is gonna need a lot more than a glass of milk...

So everyone piled back into the minivan and went to go find Panzer

Romero: I wondered where he ran off too...that hot sauce sure had him going...

Eventually they did find Panzer who had somehow made his way to the Little Tokyo hospital emergency room

Panzer: Ok next time how about you warn me before you try to kill me with something like that!
Dash: Sorry man! I forgot that I had a couple different things out there.
Grams: Alright boys, it was an honest mistake and at least it all got worked out (its a good thing your dad did some work for the hospital or theyd have been paying through the nose when they had to pump your stomach)
Panzer: Yeah I know...

It was getting late so they decided to turn in for the night. Tomorrow was a big day for Dash and Ashley and Dash wanted it to be perfect.

The sun rose over Little Tokyo. Dash had already been up for a couple hours to do some martial arts practice in the waning moments of darkness

Grams: Dash! Hurry up, youre bacon and pancakes are getting cold!

With that, the tiger bounded into the kitchen, where Grams, Ashley, Kia and Amy were already at the table. Everyone dove into the food only to be chastised by Grams.

Grams: Really now! I thought I taught you three better than that...at least if youre going to act like a bunch of mountain children, make sure you pray first. (everyone bows their head) Dear Lord, thank you for loving us and thank you that I wasnt given a bunch of wild montain grandchildren. GIve us a good day and I pray no one gets hurt as we eat this food you have blessed us with...amen
Everyone: AMEN! (then they dive in)
Grams: (rolls eyes) Kids today...

After breakfast...
Grams: We'll be joining you guys at the carnival today Dash, but we know that this is time for you and this young lady here so we will give you your space...just remember what we talked about and all Ive taught you young man (gives him a noogie)
Dash: HEY! I told you about messing up my fur (Ashley chuckles)! But yeah, I wont forget.
Grams: Good. Now you go take a shower and get dressed...I dont want you smelling up the car again like last time you jumped in after practicing (Ashley chuckles some more)
Dash: Yes ma'am...

With that Dash headed up the stairs and jumped in the shower. Ashley washed up in another bathroom and got dressed. When Dash came down in his Drivemax Megazord T-shirt and blue jeans, she had a yellow shirt, knee length jean skirt and black flats on.

Dash: that's awful nice for going to the carnival hon...
Ashley: Yeah...so? I wanted to look nice for you.
Dash: Well you look great (Ashley blushes and Dash gives her a hug)
Grams: Alright you two...Panzer and Romero are already at the carnival so let's get in the car and head over.

(I know this is a necro post but since we are on hiatus from LTHS I thought Id revive the story until Kyo launches the next RP)

We havent touched this one in a while but since the new LTHS RP is still early I thought Id see if you guys could help me with this story...

Dash, Ashley and his family arrived at the Little Tokyo Carnival. There was a wide variety of games and rides and of course food. Grams decided to take the girls to the merry go round so Sash and Ashley could have some time to themselves

Dash: So how are things in the states?
Ashley: theyve been alright. Gary committed to a major college in Arizona. He is gonna be fighting for the starting QB job there. Brock is gonna try and get on the practice squad. Karlos got a tryout with the US under 19 soccer team. He didnt make it, but he is starting to get some looks by soccer schools at this point. Leslie and TGL have kept talking since your trip to America, I think with as much time as they spent together, there may be something coming before too long. Mom and Dad are gonna come out to LT with me in a couple months so that they can spend more time with you.
Dash: Sounds pretty busy.
Ashley: It is.
Dash: Ive missed you since I got back to LT
Ashley: Ive missed you too

The two hug and release just as Romero and Panzer come around the corner

Romero: Hey its the two lovebirds!

He and Panzer make kissy faces

Dash: Knock it off you two...

So the four of them decide to try one of the games on the midway.
