Title: SPC 02 - If You Knew Sushi Like I Knew Sushi Post by: SBaby on September 29, 2005, 08:44:11 pm This is one of my personal favorite episodes, due to the slight change in the Narrative (there's only a handful of Episodes like this one). He sounds both detective-like and smart aleck at the same time. One of the best lines had to be the remark he made when the Pizza Cats launched, where he talked about the remains of his career. Classic. And, let's not forget his 'rules for Bad Guys'. And remember the reference to the fact that the characters seem to 'skate' from place to place. On another note, this is the first time that the Pizza Cat Professor pops in, with his useful, but obvious information. As for the 'Robot of the Week', the Sushi-Bot was an... interesting touch to say the least. Soooooo...
Positive: + Creative Narrative throughout the Episode + The Pizza Cat Professor + Interesting Robot Negative: - Speedy and the Pizza Cats don't do their pose (minor, but still...) Is nice to see Lucille caring for someone besides herself, and the part where his brother resist the brain washing for a moment is nice too.

September 21, 1996 @ 10:30Am on my local WB (now CW) affiliate...WVTV - CW18 (Milwaukee) It was the first episode I ever saw....well.....at least the last 15 minutes of it. I just remember seeing the Cats introducing themselves (in usual fashion) one at a time, then going all crazy on the 'robot of the day'. Someday I'll need to give this a viewing and come back and give it a serious review. (note: the show aired first on Saturday mornings before moving to weekdays soon afterwards...thats the reasoning for the Saturday date). |
