Title: Re: Nyanki Figures Post by: Mr.NoName on March 16, 2011, 07:16:41 pm Hmm... Looks like they're made of the same type of plastic army figures are made of.. That, or some crappy soap.. but meh.. What do I know? Seriously, though. What's with all the cheap figurines? Ah, well. At least there are some being made, I suppose... :-/

Title: Re: Nyanki Figures Post by: Someone who does Something on March 16, 2011, 07:47:42 pm They are made out of PVC.
Title: Re: Nyanki Figures Post by: Tigriss on March 17, 2011, 09:00:17 am Thanks for the head's up, Noah. I bought three of them. I already have a Karamaru and Karasu Ninja, but I thought I'd grab some more. I also got a figure of Zankaa. I already have Uokaa, so that's 2/4 of the Yami no Yon Nin Shu. Soon I will have my very own Ninja Crow army for my little Pizza Cat figures to do battle with.
Title: Re: Nyanki Figures Post by: KageReneko on March 17, 2011, 09:30:11 am Will you paint them? They remind me of the little plastic figures that came with the fried snacks when I was a kid
Marvel heroes, Disney characters, Looney Tunes Thundercats and the A-Team!! You're welcome ;)Title: Re: Nyanki Figures Post by: Tigriss on March 18, 2011, 06:19:33 am Will you paint them? I would if I was any good at it. Title: Re: Nyanki Figures Post by: Violet on March 18, 2011, 08:06:28 am They are made from a sort of hard rubber or soft plastic type stuff. They are pretty detailed up close, and would look nice painted, but you would need to be careful afterward because if you bent any of the painted area, the paint might flake off or be damaged.
Title: Re: Nyanki Figures Post by: LadyFlame on March 19, 2011, 12:30:56 pm I've just purchased the Guido and Polly figures and I'm waiting for the total invoice to come through. Thanks for the heads-up, Violet!
Title: Re: Nyanki Figures Post by: Tigriss on March 26, 2011, 07:19:14 am My poor little crow has no wings. And one of the bottom spikes on Zankaa's wings is missing. Oh well, it's still nice to add them to the collection.
Title: Re: Nyanki Figures Post by: cabbage on March 26, 2011, 11:58:03 pm Tigriss~ too bad about the condition issues but congrats on expanding your collection ^^
I'm surprised how many characters they made into these little toys... any ideas on how big the full set is? Violet? anyone? Would love to have a complete list someday! Title: Re: Nyanki Figures Post by: LadyFlame on March 29, 2011, 04:08:01 pm Mine arrived yesterday and they're in perfect condition, apart from each having a piece missing; it's nothing major, though. Probably the likes of wings or weapons but I can do without those. I'm planning to paint them - anyone know what kind of paint would work best on the type of plastic they're made from?

They're made of PVC, a plastic not usually meant to be painted apart from waterproofing paint for pipes in bathrooms. As a plastic modeller myself I'd say you should use something that wont melt the figure itself. The best thing would be to use a Vinyl-ish base paint that moves with the plastic and then paint it with acrylic. Plastic models don't usually come in PVC except pre-painted. Title: Re: Nyanki Figures Post by: Tigriss on April 04, 2011, 07:46:08 am Tigriss~ too bad about the condition issues but congrats on expanding your collection ^^ It's not a huge deal. The seller did list which ones had wings, but I thought maybe the little Karasu Ninja were all in one piece, when in fact they were not. Thanks very much for that! Sorry about taking so long to reply but this is the first time in days that Edo's let me in (see my post in the "Trouble Accessing Edo" thread in the Hosting section).
