Title: Software for sound
Post by: Daisensei on October 27, 2005, 05:54:06 pm
I'm trying to finish transcribing KNT 03 episode, but some phrases is still obscure to me  . Can you know some software to manipulate sounds for Linux? The equalizing can be done with XMMS, but I need resources like slower pitch playing, for example. Perhaps with the aid of technology I could understand better what is talked in Japanese.

Have you tried Audacity? (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/))
It can be used to increase/decrease pitch and/or tempo. And the site says it works for Linux.

Thanks for the tip.  ;) I'll try it, hope it can help me to transcribe the speeches. I'm downloading the Linux version from my Debian FTP mirror.
