I post it to remind Burke what he and his fellow marines are defending and fighting for; some guy dressed as a giant vinyl record tapping spoons together. Title: Re: Home again. Post by: Cloud-Boy on June 19, 2011, 07:30:20 pm And so it begins...
(senior Marine mode activated) BOOT!!! Title: Re: Home again. Post by: Crow on June 19, 2011, 10:11:02 pm Ha. I was contract PFC, I'll be Lance Coolie by Christmas. Then I will pull full Cpl. before you do.
Mah plan is all falling into place. Title: Re: Home again. Post by: Cloud-Boy on June 19, 2011, 10:28:19 pm The last guy who pulled rank on me got a trashing...but then again, that's why I was demoted in the first place.
Title: Re: Home again. Post by: Mechadon on June 20, 2011, 05:21:32 pm Harm, can you please stop doing whatever it is you are doing. I know it has something to do with how you have all our names within yours.
I've recieved PMs that make no sense to me from Noah, Von Oz and pollygirl. Noah's made the most sense. That's really sweet of you to think of me like that. But do a lot of people feel that way? I haven't been there in so long I really don;t remember how many fanfics I posted there or if I finished any of it. Did I finish any of it? Have you considered returning to the forum? I know that Burkey pretty much ran you out, but he's more or less inactive now. His opinion of you wasn't the majority. In fact, I'm even including some of the people who agree with me in my username. I have written a decent chunk of what you've written, which is saying a lot since I don't read fanfic often, and I can say that I'm honestly impressed with your ability to produce words quickly. The fiction in this forum has stagnated with all of the good writers taking too long to post new stories or finish their old ones. I don't recall discussing such things with you. Title: Re: Home again. Post by: Crow on June 20, 2011, 06:21:41 pm I knew you'd disgusting civilians would ruin my return. And to think I'm gonna go to war and fight for your freedom to be dumbasses on the internet, Harm.
Though nothing beats good ol' drama, could someone fill me in on what the s*** is going on? Title: Re: Home again. Post by: vonhorz on June 20, 2011, 07:09:38 pm hey i was kinda happy for the attention XD
however...its annoying remove it plz... Title: Re: Home again. Post by: Someone who does Something on June 20, 2011, 07:25:05 pm I knew you'd disgusting civilians would ruin my return. Post by: KyoZaber on June 20, 2011, 07:35:56 pm I've returned a United States Marine. You filthy civilians gross me the hell out, knock it off with this pony bullshit. Welcome back Chief! Congratulations! And no. =3 I knew you'd disgusting civilians would ruin my return. And to think I'm gonna go to war and fight for your freedom to be dumbasses on the internet, Harm. Though nothing beats good ol' drama, could someone fill me in on what the s*** is going on? Woah woah woah, for starters, we're not disgusting. We're "Adorable." Aster said so herself. http://www.edoropolis.org/forums/index.php?topic=5010.msg45641#msg45641 (http://www.edoropolis.org/forums/index.php?topic=5010.msg45641#msg45641) As far as what's going on... *Shrugs* Couldn't tell you. Been busy the past few days. I guess it has something to do with canned meat and potatoes. Title: Re: Home again. Post by: Cloud-Boy on June 21, 2011, 07:38:39 am War-fighting? Burks, you're still full from the Warrior's breakfast! :D
Title: Re: Home again. Post by: Tigriss on June 21, 2011, 07:51:08 am Welcome back, friend. Just ignore the jabronies. Oh, and not all of us are "filthy civilians", I'm sure there are at least a few members around here that shower regularly. ;)
Mech, try to refrain from posting PMs in public. If there's a problem, come tell one of us mods. Title: Re: Home again. Post by: sjonnoh on June 21, 2011, 03:01:15 pm A bit late but, WB Burke! Bet the forums are going to be a bit more interesting again.
Title: Re: Home again. Post by: Crow on June 21, 2011, 11:58:57 pm Implying that the forum hasn't already gone to s*** with this pony nonsense.

Don't do it to me!!!The pony stuff has worn off on me. No lies. Also, you shouldn't of said that out loud, now they know... But what if saying it out loud was all part of the plan to get you all to THINK that was the plan, when really, the stealth ninja team of killer robots is ready to kick down all your doors right now and bisect you with laser swords. Title: Re: Home again. Post by: Someone who does Something on June 22, 2011, 10:57:37 am Oh, good plan
Title: Re: Home again. Post by: Cloud-Boy on June 22, 2011, 06:12:27 pm I'm cool with the ponies as long as they aren't shoved in my face. I'm not cool with the idea of a night movement. Me and night movements don't get along since 2006 when I fell down that well in Iraq. However, we can always call in a fire mission and drop 81mm mortars and hellfires.
Title: Re: Home again. Post by: Mechadon on June 22, 2011, 06:46:08 pm However, we can always call in a fire mission and drop 81mm mortars and hellfires. OMG. Twitchy tail! TWITCHY TAIL!!! Something's gonna fall!!! ~~~ But seriuosly. Seeing as Cloudy here is the second person to express their desire to not have pony stuff shoved in their faces, we should keep this stuff contained within the thread that was made for it. I think we've had our fun already. (I certainly have) We should give it a rest. I still think we have free reign with our avatars and sigs. As long as we stick to the rules of avatars and sigs. Can we all agree on this? Don't worry we'll have plenty of time for shenanigans in the future. Afterall... What's the major difference between Samurai Pizza Cats and My Little Pony: FIM??? --- SEASON 2 !!! OHH YEEEEEEEEEEEAH!!!!!! 8) 8) 8) Title: Re: Home again. Post by: Crow on June 23, 2011, 01:14:08 am 3 page thread and it's full of s***. I'm glad MCT and MOS school is gonna eat up about 9 months so I don't have to read this anymore.
Title: Re: Home again. Post by: Cloud-Boy on June 23, 2011, 03:31:28 am MCT sucks. Have fun learning dumbed down infantry skills that you'll never use. What ended up being you MOS, anyways?
Title: Re: Home again. Post by: KyoZaber on June 23, 2011, 09:08:11 am MCT & MOS ... May I ask you gentlemen what both of those involve?
Title: Re: Home again. Post by: Cloud-Boy on June 23, 2011, 03:29:53 pm MCT stands for Marine Combat Training. It's a school that non-infantry Marines go to learn extremely basic combat skills. At one Month long, they learn about tue main infantry weapons, basic patrolling, basic knowledge on IEDs and more stuff that are vital if the ever have to take the fight to the enemy in the event all the Grunts are dead.
MOS is Military Occupational Specialty. These are jobs. They are given a code, so for example, we In the infantry field have the 03XX code. A more specific job is give a code after the field, such as 0331 machine-gunner. These field range frok Infantry, Intelligence, Airwing, Cooks, you name it. Title: Re: Home again. Title: Re: Home again. Post by: Violet on June 25, 2011, 03:07:46 pm Congrats to Burke and Astercrow. Who should be getting married an hour from now. A match made in...Little Tokyo. Title: Re: Home again. Post by: KageReneko on June 25, 2011, 04:07:03 pm I really hope that the church (Or the building where the ceremony is being executed) become a giant robot... That would be a memorable wedding...
Title: Re: Home again. Post by: Violet on June 25, 2011, 04:20:12 pm A match made in...Little Tokyo. You're not referencing what I think you're referencing, are you?We don't think alike, so probably not. I was referencing the old "Match made in heaven" line, you were probably thinking something evil. Title: Re: Home again. Post by: Tigriss on June 27, 2011, 08:04:44 am It was amazing. Good times were had by all.
Title: burkster Post by: sans soul on July 10, 2011, 04:45:55 am uh..wow, this thread. okay.
hi guys, there were a few nice comments here - thank you very much, it was wonderful. we didn't have a giant robot, but we did have some drunk people doing the robot, and i think that was just as memorable. :7 Cloud-boy: Burke got held up 2 weeks from MCT, so he's starting tuesday instead. so... 1 month of that, plus another 4-6ish months for his MOS and then he's assigned a base. what would this world come to if Cloud-boy, Burke and Aster were all chillin' together in hawaii? pure ABC awesomeness says i. anyway, thanks again! * Title: Re: burkster Post by: Tigriss on July 10, 2011, 07:10:01 am what would this world come to if Cloud-boy, Burke and Aster were all chillin' together in hawaii? 5 months long working on engins and schematics and such. We work along with 1171, the Water Dogs! Should be fun, yet hard. MCT did suck, f*** sleeping in those fighting holes for 3 nights. ~Burke Title: Re: Home again. Post by: Someone who does Something on August 11, 2011, 09:23:23 pm What are the other 1141 lol
Title: Re: Home again. Post by: Crow on August 11, 2011, 09:53:19 pm What are the other 1141 lol 1141 is just a basic electrician man. 1142 are more badass. 1171 WATER DOGS, OORAH. Title: Re: Home again. Post by: Cloud-Boy on August 12, 2011, 03:14:12 am I find it funny how kids (ok maybe not all of them kids) Talk about fighting holes and spending days in them. I have never, in all my years, dug one. I would go around and kick boots (newbies) out of theirs and claim it as my own during training events, but never used one during actual combat engagements, either on the defense or the offense.
And, for the record, never mention the Water Support Technician anywhere I frequent. It took one encounter with one of these guys, at the rifle range nonetheless, to forever begin a personal vendetta against them....Semper Fi, Devil Dog. In Chesty's name we pray, Oorah. |
