Wow... this is SO thread worthy.

I'll keep this in mind for when I wanna make a thread about how many times I brushed my teeth.

The main point of this thread is for the band, not the avatar. :P

DEVO! Yes, I remeber this band, they made several hits when I was teenager. After that I've not heard about Devo for almost two decades, until recently I saw them in a Mojo Jojo (Powerpuff Girls) clip in Cartoon Network.

Wow, I only know those guys because HomestarRunner.com referenced them in their recent Halloween toon.

Yeah, and it seriously looks like they wear the tops of fire hydrants as hats...

I also recall something Devo related in Weird Al's parody, Dare to be Stupid. One of the band members of Devo actually said the parody song outdid them in having the perfect Devo sound.

Odd... your thread title says, "Come bask in the glory of my new AVATAR."

But this thread isn't about your avatar... It's about your avatar...

Right.

Hehehe, the first time I became familiar of them is when Bill Nye the Science Guy made a parody song called "Drip IT!".

Ah I loved Bill Nye's show. You're bringing back memories...

Even if you don't know Devo, there's a very good chance that you've heard their stuff. Well, Mark Mothersbaugh (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0006205/)'s stuff, anyway. Look at all the television shows, movies and GAMES he's worked on.
