This really sucks, for all WWE fans and people who knew him. He had alcohol and drug problems but he has been clean for like 4 years, and on the top of his career.

It is said because Eddie Guerrero was one of the best wrestlers ever, and a very dedicated man who overcome horrible personal adversity in order to make one of the most amazing comebacks in wrestling history.

The man was a great athlete, and a huge loss to us all. I'm really upset about it personally. Chavo must be a wreck, he's the one who found him in his hotel.

Terrible news. I think I speak for all of us WWE fans when I say he will be horribly missed. :'(

I agree, everyone at Mt. A here has his picture for MSN in respect. Lots of wrestling fans.

What a way to go, and only being 38.

:'( Yeah, me & my brother heard about it. Eddie will be missed.
He was a legend in wrestling media and has been a champion dozens of times. He also and always had a character memorable to all us wrestling fans. This really is a shocker, as he was in his late 30s, so his death is a mystery.

R.I.P. EDDIE GUERRERO

He may be with us no more, but his large fantastic legacy will never be forgotten.

Latino Heat burns on.

:'(Goodbye Eddie.   Deep respects from my brother & me.

Usually if they don't give an immediate reason for a wrestler's death, it means he OD'ed on something and they just don't wanna give it away...

We'll just wait and see I guess...

Usually if they don't give an immediate reason for a wrestler's death, it means he OD'ed on something and they just don't wanna give it away...

Usually, yes. But Eddie had recently celebrated his 4th year of sobriety following his past addictions and abuse. Overcoming it was something he took great pride in, and pretty much ruled out an overdose.
His passing due to heart disease was basically his past abuse catching up with him, combined with the grueling work schedule.

~

Eddie Guerrero... I won't ever forget that man, or his legacy. A fantastic athlete, and could captivate an audience like so few others could. Not to mention so many great qualities which extended far beyond the wrestling ring.

Thinking about all he'd overcome in the past with substance abuse, and a serious car accident, it was such an inspiring moment to see Eddie and his best friend Chris Benoit embracing at WrestleMania 20. Finally holding their respective titles for the first time, after nearly two decades in business together.
In a business that's known to be highlighted by giants, not people at 5 feet 8.

My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. He was truly a great man in every sense of the word, and is definitely in a better place, performing on the greatest stage of all.

Eddie Guerrero: 1967 - 2005
Gone, but not forgotten.

Yeah, I was really shocked when I heard that. As a long time WWF/E fan, I will truly miss him. I never found out what really killed him. What did kill him? Was it heart disease or was it something else? I'm sorry that I didn't respond to this sooner, I just found this here. I never knew that this thread was here. Anyway, Eddie will be forever remembered and truly missed by all WWE fans. Viva la raza!!
