It showed "Sam" "ur" "i" and the dot of the "i" was an eye. So if you read it "Samur-eye" it sounded like "Samurai". At least, that's what the show's producer told us fans back in the 90s. They might have just spelled it wrong. But on all the official Saban stuff (poster, comics, European packaged toys) it's spelled "Samurai". I got that logo off the back of the tape box. I put up the 2nd logo because it has the in-show spelling of "Samurai" as "Samuri" Hope this helps. |
