Title: Riviera: The Promised Land Post by: Valkyrie on December 05, 2005, 02:45:15 am I had recently picked this up at EB Games ('cause wally world and Best Buy dont have it) and I must say that It's one of the best strategy RPG's that I have played in a long time.
So what it is, is a pair of Grim Angels, Ein and Ledah, go in for some major butt kicking, but stuff happens and I dont want to give it away. I must say that It does have some awesome music and the details are superb, except for the semi-repetive backgrounds, but it's too cool for those to matter. I recomend that If you have a GBA you should get this, if your into rpg's and the like. Title: Re: Riviera: The Promised Land Post by: Foxhack on December 05, 2005, 04:02:50 am Wait, what? You bought an Atlus game that was released months ago, brand new?
Did this get a second printing or something? I find it odd, Atlus always prints a short run and then stops completely... Title: Re: Riviera: The Promised Land Post by: Valkyrie on December 05, 2005, 04:22:45 am I guess that I was just fortunate or something. They only had 3 copies left.
Title: Re: Riviera: The Promised Land Post by: Marurun on December 05, 2005, 05:10:43 pm I keep seeing this game whenever I type in Fire Emblem on Amazon. Is it as fun at Fire Emblem? I might consider getting it since I'm getting a Gameboy Player for my gamecube this Christmas.

It's a good game, but it's got a bunch of design flaws that make me angry. Like the space limit in your backpack... or the fact that missions are way. too. long. I still haven't beaten the game 'cause of that. Title: Re: Riviera: The Promised Land Post by: Valkyrie on December 05, 2005, 11:32:29 pm Wow, you think the missions are long?
You must be doing too many practice battles or something. I keep seeing this game whenever I type in Fire Emblem on Amazon. Is it as fun at Fire Emblem? The genre is kinda similar (people with swords) but I'm not sure Fire Emblem is that much like Riviera.Title: Re: Riviera: The Promised Land Post by: Foxhack on December 06, 2005, 01:45:07 am Wow, you think the missions are long? You must be doing too many practice battles or something. Not that many. I mostly have to do them to, you know, gain levels. :P |
