Title: Korean Plastic Model Kits Post by: cabbage on September 26, 2011, 10:24:32 am Oops, I've been sitting on this for a while and meant to post it here but I guess it slipped my mind... I was chatting with another forum member tonight and was reminded of it so did a copy+paste job from the quickly-thrown-together page I made up shortly after I acquired this item. Check this out, it was news to me!
Japan saw the release of several KNT plamodels. I've always thought they were pretty cool and wanted to get some of them. Unfortunately they are pretty rare in The West and I have always managed to miss out on them when they came up for sale. Recently, however I stumbled upon another interesting item. Apparently South Korea saw the release of some SPC / KNT merchandise. I recently picked up a Korean version of Japan's plastic model kit for Sukashi (Guido). Check out the pics below. Instead of being called by its Japanese or Western title, the series is referred to here as, simply, "Ninja Cat." Instead of referring to Guido by name, he is just "NINJA CAT ROBOT no.2" -- and you can furthermore see the reference to, in one of the side shots, Speedy being released as "no.1" I haven't stumbled across any of the other kits in the wild yet, so I can't say for certain if Korea saw any models other than the two male heroes. Too bad I don't have a Sukashi kit from Japan or I would offer some comparisons between the two. Guess I'll have to see if I can find a good deal on one to check out the difference in quality and such. Title: Re: Korean Plastic Model Kits Post by: felineki on September 26, 2011, 06:57:17 pm Looks like it's based on the Mega Up kit, although cast in different colors. Also looks like the Toritsukkun isn't included, oddly enough. I had never seen one of these before, thanks for sharing.

Title: Re: Korean Plastic Model Kits Post by: Tigriss on October 15, 2011, 07:47:03 pm Oh I hope I find some soon. I doubt you'll be able to, as they're very rare. But who knows? Sometimes people get lucky. Title: Re: Korean Plastic Model Kits Post by: cabbage on November 25, 2011, 11:02:07 am Just dropping in to say I've finally found a Korean Speedy/Yattarou/"No.1" kit... also picked up another Guido with alternate box art. The Speedy kit seems much more rare than the Guido kits. I've seen several more of the same Guido but they have been too expensive for me to bother picking up, since I already have one for my collection.
Anyway, hopefully I'll find some time to upload photos of the alternate Guido and the No.1, Speedy, in the next day or two. If not, in the next few weeks, hehe Oh I hope I find some soon. I doubt you'll be able to, as they're very rare. But who knows? Sometimes people get lucky.
