Title: Mighty Max!
Post by: dfd3657 on February 16, 2006, 06:00:28 pm
After discovering this forum and being able to see SPC again for the first time in years AND after Cartoon Network has begun to re-air SWAT Kats, it got me thinking about all the old shows I used to love as a kid. Then I remembered Mighty Max. I used to LOVE this show. I still have an old VHS tape sitting around with a couple episodes, and I used to have like ALL the toys. There's so many lost gems from my childhood that need to be revived (SWAT Kats is on the way). Anyone else remember this show?

Kid wearing magic hat, ultra-wise owl and big, sword-wielding dude.

Yup, I remember this show. Hardly got to watch it though. Oh yeah, and the toys sucked.

Yep. Polly Pocket on the other hand, now that was a real man's toy!  ;-)

I loved Mighty Max too! I liked the trio dynamic between Max, Norman and Virgil, and the running gag of Virgil being a chicken :) Plus the animation was cool, I really liked it's style. Shame there was only one season. Never got into the toys, though. I think I did own a Polly pocket briefly (the shame!), but I was never keen on dolls as a kid ... unless they were She-Ra dolls ;)

Oh yeah. I remember that show. I thought it rocked. The toys weren't as good. Though I did had one at one point. It wasn't much to play with since the figures were WAY too small. Anyway, the show was really cool. Awesome bad guys, monsters, and much action to it. Pretty heavy stuff, too. I liked that show. Man, those were the days when almost every cartoon show we see during the 90's were pretty much all action. Thank goodness there's Blockbuster and Hollywood Video stores so that we can go in and look at the old video shows that they still have.
