It's not a bit-torrent problem, it's a codec problem.

Search on Google.com for something called the K-Lite Mega Codec Pack.

Download and install that sucker, and you should be able to play anything.

Or,

Download VLC Player (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html) and play your vids with that.

Hi, Welcome to EE! I hope you enjoy your stay here, and post often. :)

Like Burkey said, it's probably a missing/bad codec. Although I generally don't recommend using codec packs, I suppose it could work for you in your case. (Personally, I open the file up in G-spot (http://www.headbands.com/gspot/) to see exactly what I'm missing.)

I think we need a "tech-support" section where people can post stuff like this and have it answered correctly, and not just have random "help-me!, please"  threads everywere.  This kind of thing could also work as a reference for others who have similar problems, like using bitorrent.

I thought about that once, but I concluded that we don't get nearly enough of these type of posts for them to merit their own board, which is why I'd rather they be in the tech section. Which, I should... probably write a better description for.  :O
