Title: Programs for animated GIFs?
Post by: SMEDIA on May 15, 2006, 06:27:18 pm
I've been playing around with making animated gifs from SPC episodes. I finished a really good one, but I need help resizing it. I tried girworks.com (http://girworks.com), but I couldn't upload because they have a 400KB limit (the one I've made comes out to 10MB :O). I tried using Microsoft Office Picture Manager to resize all of the frames, but I know there's probably an easier way. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I'll upload some after I figure out how. :)

i think photobucket might resize them for you.

You may have to use another gif program too. GIMP, to my knowledge, creates smaller sized gifs and exporting one using Gamemaker might work too.

Unless, that is, you have a large canvas size.

I use Adobe Image Ready CS2 for my gif animations, It's the only program you will ever need for working with gif's.

Well, I fooled around with Microsoft Office Picture Manager and resized all of the frames to my first animated gif. I will look into those programs you guys mentioned and see if one of them has options that MOPM doesn't have. Here is my gif:

I used to do animated gifs, but the flash fashion came over and I stopped doing them,
Whatever, I still need a free program for editing avi so I can get the frames...I want to do Big Cheese exploting^_-.
