Title: Spartan Pizza Cats Post by: Mechadon on May 28, 2006, 10:48:09 am It’s about time I discussed my idea for a Halo machinima starring our beloved Pizza Cats. First things first. Is it possible? I know for myself that it is. But I have to convince the rest of you. The first step is showing you the player models. I have all the player profiles for all the characters I want to use saved on my copy of Halo 2. But I’ll only be showing you how to make the basic characters: Speedy, Polly, Guido, and Karamaru. I’ve had time to experiment with the player models to find the best combinations that best represent the characters.
PC: Player Color EC: Emblem Color When you see ‘None’ for 1st EC, it means when selecting the emblem you have to press X to toggle off the 1st emblem color. For those who have Halo 2. Try these combinations. Speedy Cerviche Player Model: Spartan Emblem: Delta Background: Diamond 1st PC: White 2nd PC: Red 1st EC: None 2nd EC: Gold Polly Ester Player Model: Spartan Emblem: Cleave Background: Cleft 1st PC: Red 2nd PC: Pink 1st EC: None 2nd EC: Violet Guido Anchovis Player Model: Spartan Emblem: Grunt Symbol Background: Solid 1st PC: Blue 2nd PC: Cobalt 1st EC: Gold 2nd EC: Red Karamaru Player Model: Elite Emblem: Jolly Roger Background: Diagonal Quadrant 1st PC: Sage 2nd PC: Steel 1st EC: None 2nd EC: Red Tell me what you think of the player models. If you approve, then we can move on to discuss a story. Title: Re: Spartan Pizza Cats Post by: BurkeWorld on May 31, 2006, 04:28:16 am I don't understand all this jibber-jabber.
Halo sucks. Yes, I have played it, and yes, it sucks. Though I must admit, people have been trying to cross-over SPC with a number of different things lately when the fact is, they can't even write a basic storyline yet. Very facinating. House, MD Yah, those are some nice words of encouragement. Now this is twice you have said Halo sucks and twice as a repsonse to my posts. I am starting to dislike you. I didn't come to these forums to make enemies with anyone but you are really pushing it. I would wish that you at least explain why Halo sucks. Because you are attacking something I truely love. Are you a Nintendo fan? Do you hate Microsoft? What ever it is, I will respect your opinion. At least try to respect mine. And if you don't know what machinima is. Its when you use a video game to make a movie. Red vs. Blue wasn't the first to do it. I believe the first was done with Quake 3. Don't take everything so seriously, I've seen most of the RvB series with a buddy of mine. I always harass the newbies, it's a sign of my affection (but not in that way ^_~) Chill out my friend, your avatar has already landed you a good spot in my books. (As VG Cats rocks my socks literally.) I'm not a fan of anything, I don't like Nintendo, or MS, or anything else out there, I'm not a gamer. Your in my good books again. It's because I'm a newb. Ok, I've chilled. 8) Title: Re: Spartan Pizza Cats Post by: BurkeWorld on May 31, 2006, 09:18:33 pm Congrats, you're no longer a newb anymore.
Welcome aboard Halo/SPC fan ^_^ House, MD Title: Re: Spartan Pizza Cats Post by: Mechadon on July 05, 2006, 06:36:38 pm Ok, We've gone off track a little bit. I would first like to mention that I have made a change to Guido's player model. I've desided to change Guido's Emblem from a Diamond to the Grunt Symbol. I've made the change because it looks like a spinning Samurai Sunspot Umbrella. More appropriate now.
Second. I'd like to ask a question. Does anyone on these forums play Halo 2 other than me? I would find it hard to believe that I'm the only one considering how it's a very popular game. It would be nice to have some feedback on my player models. So please, if you own the game, create the player models and tell me what you think. After this I would like to discuss a story. Title: Re: Spartan Pizza Cats Post by: Mechadon on July 30, 2007, 09:55:32 pm That's right folks! I've dug up this old topic because of a new idea of mine. Before Spartan Pizza Cats was just a dream and it looked like it would have to remain that way permanently.
But now there's a new game coming out that has some very promising features that could potentially make my dream into a reality. Halo 3 has a play back feature that will make machinima much easier. All you need now is a video capture card and basic video editing software. If I made a Pizza Cat Halo Machinima, here's a ruff concept of what it would look like: (http://img255.imageshack.us/img255/4148/spartanpizzacatsconcepted3.th.png) (http://img255.imageshack.us/my.php?image=spartanpizzacatsconcepted3.png) Introducing the "Expression Bubble". It's like a thought bubble but for facial expressions. In order to make a funny show with Pizza Cats, facial expressions are key. Without it, all you see is a bunch of boring cyborgs. You would have no clue that the people inside the suits are supposed to be Pizza Cats. Title: Re: Spartan Pizza Cats Post by: KyoZaber on July 30, 2007, 11:07:34 pm Now that I've gotten into playing the Halo games, I've got to say I like your idea.
My apologies it took over 1 year to do. However, I needed to play Halo by myself before I remotely started to like it. (A tale for another thread.) The idea has merit, and I'd love to help in any way that I can. ^_^ I especially like having an icon of the character who is talking appearing up above the Spartan who's saying it. I like it a lot because it's a way to differentiate the SPC project from being just another "OMG! We r RvB 2!" (Oh my god we've seen Red vs Blue and now are doing the same thing too.) How do you think a series like this should open up? Would we have a prologue giving some big reason for the change from little chibi-esque characters to pretty-much humanoid characters? Or would we just call this some weird parallel universe? Ohh~ this is sounding kinda kinda fun~ >=3 Edit: Whoopse, I forgot to say that I do have a 360 and copies of Halo and Halo 2. I've also got Halo 3 on reserve. So I should be ready to go once it hits stores. ^_^ My apologies. Title: Re: Spartan Pizza Cats Post by: Mechadon on August 01, 2007, 11:41:39 am I don't have all the resources I need to make my vision a reality. I still need...
-an Xbox 360 -Halo 3 -a video capture card -software that will let me put my "Expression Bubbles" on top of the video. (I have no clue what can do that) -Puppeteers -Voice actors (I could definatly use D-Mac's talent) It really is the new features in Halo 3 that got me thinking about this "project" again. Mmm... Man-Cannon. *drools, thinking about the possibilities* Title: Re: Spartan Pizza Cats Post by: Flash Kid on August 14, 2007, 05:50:07 pm I don't have all the resources I need to make my vision a reality. I still need... If I had Xbox live, I'd so be in on my 360! Software as simple as Windows movie maker could put expression bubbles on top of the video. I'm a stage actor so I can voice act for you.... maybe.-an Xbox 360 -Halo 3 -a video capture card -software that will let me put my "Expression Bubbles" on top of the video. I'd be willing to try my hand at machinima animation. I unfortunately lack the time to perform any video editing. I also do not have the voice for any of the main characters. If the series would have extras, I'd be willing to do 'em. If we could not find a gal willing to do Polly's voice, I think it's possible to still work things in. (At the beginning at least. Eventually it'd be good to get an actual gal to do Polly's voice.) Mech, have you been kinda thinking story-wise how you want to do this? Or is that something that's on the back-burner for the moment? Title: Re: Spartan Pizza Cats Post by: Mechadon on August 22, 2007, 09:59:39 pm Oh my God!!! Why didn't I think of this before!? 8O
For the longest time I couldn't think of any way to have Luciell appear in a Halo based SPC machinma. Now I have the solution. Luciell's mind will be trapped inside the networked computer of an M808 Scorpion Tank! And she will be totally unaware of it. :D I'm pretty darn sure I don't have to explain the rest of my genius plan. :lucille: Ka-BOOOM! |
