Title: "Complete DVD Collection"? o_O

First off, the link --

Ebay link (http://cgi.ebay.com/Samurai-Pizza-Cats-COMPLETE-SERIES-DVD_W0QQitemZ140001195118QQcategoryZ617QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)

Now...what do you guys think?  =\  Is it possible this person put 51 downloaded episodes onto these DVD's, instead of it being something legitimate?  The auction goes on for two more days, so look into it as soon as you can!

It's gotta be a bootleg, look at the cover,  but at this point people are willing to drop the 40$ for a decent quality bootleg, since it's the closest thing to a "real" DVD release we will see in a while.

Someone I know online bought one and told me about it.  He said the episodes are all either downloads (and not the good ones even, but the older stuff we had before Tsuneko's versions) or encoded off someone's tapes from TV.  Some episodes are decent and watchable, others are really poor quality.  In any case, the conclusion is that these are not "official" by any means, and not worth the money.  You're better off downloading and hoping we get an offical English dvd set someday.

I can do the exact same thing if I wanted too, but I'm not.

this is an interesting turn up.

(My DVD set is on 10 DVD's and they are DVD-9 (dual layer) so think about it)

I know someone who knows the person who bought a copy of this 'set' it's missing episode 52 as ive been told, but the picture quality is remastered VHS, which looks reasonably good. they have spent a lot of time with filters and overlays to crispen up the images, sort of how i did with the old avi - rm remastering before i bought the dvd versions. SPC was NEVER EVER made in widescreen it is 4:3 full frame. so it tells me that he has resized the video, which could promote image skew throughout the episodes. i was tempted to buy it myself to see what he was up to. but i'm already involved in this up to my neck so i don't actually wanna support piracy by buying this set eh.

but there we go. It's also why i put the text up in the corner of every episode i do to prevent them being done to dvd and sold.
