Title: Demashita Powerpuff Girls Z Post by: Alistair Erie on August 28, 2006, 12:48:16 am I was randomly searching on Wikipedia, when I decided that it would be fun to look up my old favorite Cartoon Cartoons. On the Powerpuff Girls article, it had a clip of PPGZ, and when I saw it, I thought that it was the stupidest idea ever... meaning that I wanted to see it more than I wanted to eat dinner that night.
Youtube now has fansubs of it, and I must say that it is indeed the stupidest thing ever, but also very worthy of your attention and my devotion. :D http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PPGZ (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PPGZ) Title: Re: Demashita Powerpuff Girls Z Post by: Valkyrie on August 28, 2006, 11:05:40 am PPGZ is kinda creepy in how they did it. About the only thing tying it to its roots is the fact that there is 3 of them with the same names. After watching an episode, I really couldn't watch another.

Powerpuffgirls is a kind of parody of Japanese "kawaii" style animations. So is PPG Z a parody of the parody? ?:| Title: Re: Demashita Powerpuff Girls Z Post by: KageReneko on August 28, 2006, 02:49:10 pm I just had a battle due to this serie in an Otaku Forum... I can't stand the American/European anime-esque things either, but being an extremely nostalgic person, I thought a remake of an old favorite was a neat idea.I'm receiving mails insulting and menacing me cause I rsather the original PPG... Man... That is really quite creepy.I watched the 1st episode, and it seems intended for very young children. The transformation scene resembles very much Sailor Moon. Very beautifuly presented, but lacks depth. Actually, it does keep some parodic (Can I say that?) elements. One example that comes to mind, is that Momoko (Blossom) is an otaku, so, when they get their powers, she declares herself leader because she is wearing red.Powerpuffgirls is a kind of parody of Japanese "kawaii" style animations.
