Title: Original SPC theme music Post by: Threaux on March 22, 2007, 07:14:58 pm I don't know if anyone else has heard this before but I've stumbled upon the original version/composition of the SPC theme song. It was composed in 1991 by Shuki Levy and is really cool to listen to considering the differences between this and the final cut that made it on the show.
Mp3 is here http://web.mac.com/toridori22/iWeb/Shuki%20Levy%20Online/Samurai%20Pizza%20Cats%20Theme.html (http://web.mac.com/toridori22/iWeb/Shuki%20Levy%20Online/Samurai%20Pizza%20Cats%20Theme.html) enjoy. I get this message saying I need to buy Quicktime 7 Pro to do that. I'm not paying anything just for that. So you might just have to record it lie TGL suggested.

Title: Re: Original SPC theme music Post by: Threaux on March 23, 2007, 10:49:59 pm Quote K here's my email. connorhowell@gmail.com ok, done. Quote i was converting the file from WAV to MP3 What? ?:| It's not in .wav format on the site, it's already a .mp3. Recording to .wav from the .mp3 playing via your browser, then converting it back to .mp3 is just adding 2 extra layers of digital compression and artifacts to the already compressed(.mp3) audio source. This will not make it sound any better (worse actually) and is making the file size much larger than what it originally was. Title: Re: Original SPC theme music Post by: TGLucario475 on March 24, 2007, 01:25:17 pm O_O when i got it from sound recorder, it was in a WAV file, so i changed it!

After consideration I have decided to, in the near future, host the file online. I do not see it violating any terms or conditions since anyone was able to acesss it from the source site in the first place and it is not commercially available in CD format. Pretty good, and Airington's voice is even more exaggerated, but I'm glad they went with the other version.
Title: Re: Original SPC theme music Post by: Anonymous on April 09, 2007, 02:03:26 am This theme was used in one of the episodes i have on betamax somewhere as a special 'alternate' ending credits music. i think actually it was for the SPC hour long special for big comet caper. i'll have to dig it out of storage to see. i definately know it wasn't the standard credit theme used generally, if it wasn't that version then i'll digitise it and we'll have another alternate theme :)
