Trust me, this game is "strange, funny...and heartrending." Sure, I can't understand half of what they're saying. There's a  translation project going on at gamefaqs and at the starmen.net forums.

Do yourself a favor and don't spoil yourself on the game.

Well, I've played the ROM a bit. If this ever comes stateside,  I'll buy a DS just for this game. Also, a word of advice.

Don't read any spoiler topics at all. Play the game for yourself, ask for help on the starmen.net forums...there are people who have advanced quite a bit in the game, but do not read spoiler topics. The twists in this game are so awesome you need to play the game.

This game is a piece of art. I usually expected something like this from Sega (i.e. Panzer Dragoon series), but...wow. This game wows me. Very few games have wowed me. This is one of them.

I have to, in some way, relate the themes of SPC with the going-ons of real life.
In other words, I'm going to be making quite a few mental leaps in logic.

For example: "Lucile's indelible nature to overreact, which results in immediate destruction of surrounding friends in foes alike, is akin to the nature of the United State's explosive stance in the War on Terror".

Although the battle system (save for it's little quirks such as "HP roll down") and general overworld activity is cliche, the atmosphere and story is not -which is what I like in an RPG.

Ah yes. Gimp. If I coulda got that to work, I wouldn't be making this topic. I can't get it to install properly. Every time I started it up it froze when around the time where it loads the fonts. Same thing with an older version also. I have no clue how to fix it.
