I know, right? I saw him get killed in an incident involving Spritz and Princess Vi and a swimming pool. What an unforgettable luncheon. Good riddance though, amIright??  Guido Smirk

Ah, so YOU'RE Mr. NoName!!! Mystery solved. Grin

I like the part where you put words on the screen.

It makes me happy to see Tenko still making art of these cats so many years after the show first aired.

I got a copy too. Gotta say that I definitely enjoyed reading the interviews. The cast all seemed to really love their jobs. (It's especially worth noting that they would love to see a sequel happen some day).

The preview of what the rumored sequel was going to be was a highlight for me especially. Definitely recommend picking up the book.

Excellent work there KitlingLD - and I think I need to start re-watching the series too; I forget the little things from the show your drawing has - like a small tap from Polly Wink can have large consequences...
Love the tilt as well (is that the right word?).

Thanks for the compliment! And yeah, it's been fun rewatching it. Lots of stuff happens in the show that I completely forgot about too.
You can use the word tilt, but the technical name is "dutch angle." Usually it's used to make the viewer uneasy, but depending on the context of the shot, it can be used to create a variety of different emotions. Plus sometimes, it just looks good for the composition. Tongue

Ahhh!! This is great and I love it! Good work!  Grin   Polly Love

Thanks, Blind! There's more artwork of these crazy cats to come in the following year. I can feel it.  Polly Wink

It's been a while since I posted anything here, but I made a new piece of art. Romero and I have been re-watching the series recently, which gave me some inspiration to make something. So I figured I'd share it.

The title is "A Well Earned Vacation"

Edit: Also, if anyone is curious about the lack of helmets for Guido and Speedy, I debated whether or not to have Guido and Speedy wear their helmets (like they do in episode 41) while wearing the kimonos. However, if this is truly a vacation, I figured it would make more sense for them to not wear the helmets. There are character sheets of them without the helmets and they have different hair cuts than the ones I gave them, but I tried to make it so that it still felt natural (at least as natural as robot hair can be). As for the colors, since Polly's hair was red and one of her defining character designs is that she has all red clothes, I decided to match Guido and Speedy in the same way - blue hair to blue clothes and white hair to white clothes. Regardless I don't know if it matters much anyway. Tongue

This is fantastic. I'm glad you two took the time to post it and translate it for us!

I just can't get over how high quality and accurate they look. I would love to have them in my possession.
11  General Discussion / Tech & Video Gaming / Re: Worst Games. on: December 07, 2015, 04:02:33 am
I also remember renting Batman Forever for the SNES. As a kid, I liked it kind of because I was able to play as Robin, and I liked Robin as a kid. But looking back, and watching someone do a longplay on it, I realize that this game is horrible--repetitive enemies, slow combat, weird controls, and there are some parts that are just cryptic.

I remember playing that game as a kid too. I also remember enjoying it back then when quality wasn't as big of a deal to me. Looking back on it now though, it is easy to see how bad it really was. I can't say I've played too many awful games lately though.

I think you did a great job, and I think it's fitting that the last one is a group shot of the four of them.

Thanks! It was really fun to work on, and I'm glad I can share it with people who enjoy the show. I think it was a pretty fitting thing to do as well.

My project comes to a close with Francine and the group shot!

I really like how the whole thing pulled together, and I hope to do another project with these guys again soon.

It certainly does seem that way lately... I try to check in every so often and provide what little support that I can, but there's only so much that can be done about that..  Undecided It saddens me to see a once very talkative community turn into a ghost town.
15  Samurai Pizza Cats / Teyandee! Discussion / Re: New KNT Toy To Be Made?! on: October 11, 2015, 05:26:33 am
Ah, sick! Those certainly look like some high quality figurines. I'm glad to see some aspects of this show are still getting support commercially.
16  General Discussion / Off-Topic Discussion / Re: What are you listening to? on: August 09, 2015, 07:31:37 pm
I still really like listening to Mikazuki Connection by Mipple from our very own KNT. There's something so cheesy about it, yet it's still so catchy.

I always enjoy looking at Tenko's work, and it makes me happy to see him still so invested in his creations. It's also really cool that he shares his thoughts of and the history of his decisions and specific creative directions for the designs of his characters.

You're welcome. I know you will, and I believe that because you're both passionate about art and the Pizza Cats, which I respect immensely; I know how hard art can be.

I do agree with the last part of what you said; it is a little sad to see not as many active people on here; as a fan of SPC, I would love for this place to flourish again, but I understand that life does happen and that people do move on; it's a natural part of life.

Thank you! Indeed art can be a challenge, but it does help to know that there are others like you who still share the same passions that I do, even if it is in something as small as a bunch of felines fighting crime and serving pizza. Speedy Wink

Indeed it is a natural part of life, and I totally understand how busy life can be, but I am glad, as I've said before, that there are still a few people such as yourself who still come back to this little forum in the vast desert of the internet to discuss and share their interests in this show that's over 20 years old now. Keep fighting the good fight!
19  Samurai Pizza Cats / Fan Works / Re: Mr.NoName's Art Thread on: August 07, 2015, 08:37:03 pm

Wow, that was much quicker than I thought.

The picture looks great. I can't wait to see them all together.

I will say that it's nice that over the years, you still had the love for the SPC while you were learning Art (and going to school), which led to some nice paintings.

Yeah, the reason why it came out so fast was because the picture was sitting on my computer half finished for, like, a month. The only real thing I had to do with it was to color it, essentially. Thanks though! I'll keep working at it. Speedy Wink

Indeed, I do love those pizza cats. The only thing I can really do to get new content from the series is to create my own.... I also wish there were more active artists around like there were a few years ago.... Raz, Sjonnoh, Felineki, KageReneko, VonOz (when he was still around), and Aster to name a few. I don't see much from any of them, or anyone else for that matter, these days.. which is a little saddening.  Undecided But such is life, I suppose.

Well, rcom88, you're gonna get your Speedy wish fulfilled (and anyone else who's interested for that matter). Here he is! Hope you like the painting.

Now all that's left is Francine and to combine the pictures together.
