Samurai Pizza Cats / SPC Merchandise / Pizza Cats Lumicars

Aygo Motive is set to release a new product line known as "Lumicar": a series of small diecast cars with lights built in. Many Tatsunoko licenses are among the lineup, and among them is SPC/KNT. Each of the 3 protags has a themed car. While it's nice to see more merchandise, my one complaint with these 3 is that they seem to largely be the same mold. Would be nice if they personalized them a little more.

Samurai Pizza Cats / Teyandee! Discussion / Re: KNT Art at Character Designer Tenko's Blog

looking cool.Tenko mentions that a few years back he met with the company making the ES Goukin figures and provided them with model sheets. The company was very pleased with this, as they had very few references to work from, even Tatsunoko themselves having few materials left from the show's production. He also mentions that he tried to convince them to make a Karamaru with Komusoutector, but in the end they wouldn't agree. Disappointing, since that's something I and a few other fans have anted to see. Tenko also mentions providing the creators of the fanbook with model sheets in a similar fashion.

Samurai Pizza Cats / Teyandee! Discussion / Re: KNT now on Crunchyroll

The thing about Otama being the head of the Nekonin Clan was really just a random gag they pulled out of nowhere to parody the startling revelations that often occur in series finales. No real significance other than for a quick laugh, and to give Otama an excuse to act all serious and boss-like for once. Like the narrator himself says in that same episode, "All sorts of things happen in the finale!"
As for the plots in kNT and SPC being similar, I'd have to try and find it again, but I do remember seeing someone on the internet once say that a translator who worked with Streamline Pictures was on the SPC staff, and gave the writers a brief summary of each episode's plot. So even though the dialogue was entirety rewritten, they would have had a general idea of what the plot was abut. Take that with a grain of salt though, as I haven't confuirmed it.

I've been computer-less for eleven months, but now yeah, I'm back. What's new? Well, both SPC and KNT are on Crunchyroll. The KNT fanbook will be getting a translated release. Speedy and Catatonic figures are due for release within the coming months, and Polly and Guido figures are set for release next year. So quite a bit has actually happened recently now that I think about it.
