Harm, Gabya, NoName, Tsuneko and now Von... Harm even went as far as deleting (seemingly) all of his messages... I could never imagine such a catastrophe happening here...

We all have our annoying habits and things that other people are going to get ticked off by. Leave each other be. As Nightmare Moon said, can we respect each other?
Personally, I believe that massively (it was what... about 10? users) changing avatars, usernames and signatures to those related to an overrated cartoon that appears all over the internet (and it really annoys some people who are not in the fad) on an SPC forum is not exactly a respectful behavior either. That's why I support Kage on this in the first place. I'm not going to rage like him, but I understand why he does. I'm fine with people doing whatever they want to their profiles, really. But they do not imagine how silly and annoying this looks on the outside, given this is a Samurai Pizza Cats forum. I mean... fan devotion is a strong thing, but one should not go overboard. Because to me, this whole fad seems like a stepping stone to turning this forum into something it's not meant to be.

Totally agree with KageReneko. This is, and shall be an SPC forum. You can discuss and have fun with your favorite series, memes and whatever the hell else have this monstrocity spawned, in your special thread. But please don't get on other people's nerves by spreading the pony virus all over the forum. It might have been a funny prank to temporarily change your usernames and avatars to the MLP ones. But your joke doesn't end. And it seems it's even no longer a joke. I repeat, this is an SPC forum. See, rules are rules. Yes, it wouldn't be fair to limit people in their choice of avatar. But there's such a thing as etiquette: It's not necessary, yes. But if you have some respect for people around, you follow it. It's not too hard.

Hm... some very smart things have been said in that topic Teyandee linked. I concur: This whole pointing fingers and trouble-making, harassing and provoking is what is destroying us, not the fact that the show is 20 years old.
which is the reason why this forum is an echo chamber of off topic and now verging onto mindless banter.
That's what really happens. Somehow too much negativity stocks up in people lately - nearly everyone of currently active members seems to have some kind of bias, grudge, despise, or even hate on other members inside them. And the worst thing is that it gets out, and as a result, spawns even more hate, bias, and despise in others. This cycle has to stop. People need to stop making things that purposedly upset other people. As of now, it looks as if most of us became more concerned by people on the forum and our feelings and opinions towards them than the actual topics of discussions. That's really wrong. As Aster said numerous times, the problem is there is not enough respect between the members of our community. I really hope this will change.

If you say this, you clearly don't know all about it.
Well, how do I know if you don't tell? The reasons stated are too vague. And you probably won't, because The action taken and the reasons given are not open for discussion.
Excuse me, but this is plain draconian.

How about you actually go to a MLP forum and post about stuff there instead of ruining an SPC board with this virus...?
I agree about this, but... Just thought I'd point that out, since this forum has kind of lost it's focus and has become a bore to visit now... What a shame, some of you guys used to be pretty cool, now it's just... Kinda sad.
Says you. How long ago was your last SPC-related post? All you've been doing here for years is trolling people and boasting. Look, there's all those new policies so that MLP stuff doesn't break out of its thread, but what did they change? Nothing. You can try to keep the forum's focus, which is a good idea (but I don't exactly agree with the methods used), but you can't change people that way. SPC's been off the air for 20 years, there are little to none news, it's pretty natural that people are now fans of something else. Sad? Yes. But I'm not sure if we can blame people for that. And no one would really want to stay on a forum where people are banned, told to shut up, and get their messages deleted. You probably don't get it because you're that VIP person mods will never touch. This kind of hypocricy makes me sick. Harm was a fic writer, a contributor to the fandom in terms of discussions and some other things, and generally not a jerk. People liked him, people miss him, as evidenced by this thread. And then he gets bored, messes around a little and POOF! - he's banned. Yet a person who's been doing nothing but snark for years, stays. Do you expect people to stay here after that and pretend nothing happened?

So I wasn't first to come up with this idea Oh well. We have this kind of thing currently rolling on my Russian SPC site (you might remember it) since March 2010. It's more of a roleplaying game, though. Each player has their own character who they control, and... eh, I would give you the ruleset rather then telling, but it's in Russian. Anyway, we don't have a strict schedule or a set number of pages, but we do have an order of players' turns and a set of rules. Back to the topic... I'm looking forward to see how this turns out.
