Teyandee is translated into all sorts of things depending on when it's said

My KNT copies came in yesterday.... I can confirm Lord Korn and Skashee are the names in the subs... not too thrilled but the art is so nice and crisp compared to the old rips I had... more than willing to overlook (maybe we get a small group togother to make some edits to the subs? Don't release the video, but just the editted sub files)

Those who have preordered.. start waiting anxiously by your mailboxes... my copies came in yesterday!! 

I have some issues with some of the subs... but overall the animation is nice and clean... watched the first two episodes with my family last night!

I was just amused that Larry Kenney voiced King Claudus (he did the original voice of Lion-O). This imHO is doing it right.

I can't say I've followed the series, so would someone be so kind to point out if this is supposed to be a sequel to the original series?
I'm currently interested from the story & chronology aspect.

Yes, this is a direct sequel to the original series. It stars the next in line Avatar.

Vol 9 added, sound effects were kind of overpowering on this one, but important to understanding the action of the panels.

@Twilight Harmon... Well, you kinda already gave your opinion there ... but I appreciate you sharing at least, I wouldn't have asked for input if I didn't want it.

As far as purity goes... you can't get more pure than the raw comics... however not everyone wants to take the time to learn japanese to read them. I opted to just make translation notes for the sfx here instead of actually editting out the sound effects and putting in english sound effects.  The artwork doesn't need to be distrubed as much (can focus on mainly just editting the bubbles).

Specifically in vol 8, it allowed the reader to know that the car was actually moving without advancing straight to the next panel, these things would be lost if it were just left untranslated.

Yeah, I've been busy with IRL issues.  Should be getting back to a more regular schedule soon though.

P.S. Vol 8 added, this is the first one with the translated sound effects (ofuro in vol 3 was technically the first translation note)...  let me know what you think, I can go back and add them back into the previous strips if there is enough interest (I still have all the files).

I'm pretty sure it's due to licensing rights in other countries, including ours with Disney.  It's the same reason we're not yet seeing a release of SPC on DVD out here.

Also... I phrased it as 'Toy Forest', even though it's not a literal translation this sounds less broken in english.
