Wow, didn't expect comments this fast! A command roll ability... that might be a good idea, but I'm not sure if it'd break flow of the other skills. Well, it's worth a try! Bad Bird Looks so bright because I was trying to use the color pallette in a minimal way, but I think this is one spot I shouldn't be lazy. He's got a fanbase that shouldn't be underestimated. And for that comment on the hyper from "Bad Bird Uncaged" episode, that was a pretty sweet idea! It's given me a sweet idea for a hyper after watching that episode! I know you'll love it! PS: and yes, that Polly Super is hilarious

Glad you guys are digging this so far!
And yes, the codework is far from complete. The Strikers timing will be something dynamic, so will take some time.
Other than that, glad you guys like the progress! Even after all the sprites and codework is done. This will be FILLED with dialogue from the US Ver of Pizza Cats. So you expect a Speedy look-a-like of the Big Cheese anyway. I'm serious when I said I would bring in all of the cast at least once. ^^ You're gonna love Bad Bird's stuff. XD

Renamon ... :| ... you could of used MaloMyotismon (Myotismon ... VemonMyotismon ... MaloMyotismon (End on Season 2)) ... or something annoying like Veemon =P
Used Renamon because I did a Renamon character before. You know testing balance amoung my own creations. :3

Also lol Polly's face color is a weird brown instead of a lavender/purple XD
Also I wanted to know what format do you do the spties in, something like PNG or something else?
Heh, I would like to be a perfectionist, but the less of a pallette I have to fight with the better. Also, the sprites end up in a PCX in the actual game. When the character's complete, I'll upload the sprite pack itself so people can continue making games using the sprites. ^^ I'm quite excited, as I really like the looks of what you've shown so far, and I'm certainly looking forward to seeing more. Good luck! Alsooooo.... would you consider an English voice pack? The resources to make it happen are definitely available. If you remember, one of my projects way back in the day was to create a very similar thing. And I did. I had all the music, stages, backgrounds, programming all finished, all I was missing was the sprites, which ... Uhh.. The megaman fan guy worked hard on and made some for me. It's a tough project, but so far it's looking good. Hope you have better luck than I had! ~Burkey I'm definately seeing this character through. Just too much fun to play with my old morning cartoons from childhood. :3 So what happenned to your project? Pizza Candy: Polly is Still Pissed!

I could help with getting you voice clips from KNT. I have all the episodes to pull sound from, and I know enough Japanese to recognize a few phrases that might be useful. I could also try to get sound effects form the show, if you want.
As far as the voicepacks, this would be a big help if it comes to that! Oy, I might have to do a second poll to see what people want for the voicepack, heh heh. But lets not worry about that yet, still laying out the initial moves. PS: Knowing how brutal Americization goes for imported cartoons, I'm wondering if the Japanese version is even as funny as the English version. >>

Thanks for all the feedback! Happy to see this is welcome amoungst the community! First order of business is the voicepack. I was leaning towards Japanese because of all the fan-feedback wanting the Pizza Cats in Tatsunoko vs Capcom. But personally, that may be too big of a hassle, after all, I don't speek japanese, so that would probably limit my progress altogether. Secondly, though all the sprites you see are originally created by myself (no sprite base, I prefer to go from scratch) I have played the Famicon version from beginning to end. So some inspiration had definately come from that game! Lastly, working on all basic attacks as we speak, when those are done, I'll have an "In Works" Vid ready.

Greetings! After a few votes on my next character project, the Pizza Cats won! So I decded there's no better place to post the progress of this character: Summary: The samurai pizza cats are a team of samurai that protect their town of "Little Tokyo". And since they're a team, the gameplay will be as such! The player will control Speedy Cerviche, but all the supers and most of the special moves will call in his team mates Polly Esther and Guido Anchovy. Complete: All Damage Animations, Stance and Down Progress: Standing Attack Moves. Plans: 4 Button control set up (SNK style), Japanese Voice Packs, Multiple types of striker attacks of Guido Anchovy and Polly Esther, 2 Ground Supers, 2 Air Supers, 1 Ultimate Cameos: Entire Main Cast! From Bad Bird to General Patton, even the Goonie Birds will appear for a special transformation super! Still Open to Suggestions!

I was in Jr High, 4th or 5th grade I think, And it was on at my school in the mornings before school began.
I watched that show religiously up till it went off the air. Still, that show was something that really left it's impression; the jokes, the characters, the color scheme and style... oh yes, great show!

Samurai Pizza Cats / SPC Episode Reviews Board / Re: SPC 29 - No Talent Guido

Funny, as my own favorite line was what was shared between Guido and Narrator.
Guido: "...what have they got that I haven't got..." Narrator: "Talent?" *Anime fall*
That was priceless to me! Great episode for Guido and Francine, this series really knew how to swing for the fences.

Been a Samurai Pizza Cat for as long as I can remember, and finally finding a site that I can view the show I love so dearly made me Beyond Happy! For the last few months, I got my morning cartoon back! As a small token of my appreciation, I just did a humble fan art to the awesome cartoon! Enjoy!
