I was worried the forum died for good last time, thank god it got fixed.
Currently doing alright, getting more into listening to punk music and music in general really. Had a goal for this year to experience 100 new (to me) pieces of media (mostly movies and albums so far) and I've made it past 80 according to my Hobonichi Techo.
Also there's a deer sitting at the house across the street, so that's cute.

Well Digital Circus you can watch for free online, the final episodes will be eventually uploaded to YouTube.
I think it is a good show but depends on your tastes.
Yeah, was thinking of watching the full series once the finale is on youtube eventually. Toy Story 5... I personally think that the problem more-so comes from the fact it's a sequel to Toy Story 4. I'm actually of the belief that you could make sequels after Toy Story 3, it's still open for more things, like, how the generation experiences things differently from the last, but the problem is that what sequeled it was Toy Story 4. Toy Story 4 is a terrible movie. And worse is how it ultimately decides to get Woody off of the cast, and has this sense of finality. Even though now, Woody is back to being a main character in Toy Story 5 like he has always been, making it ultimately meaningless and redundant everything that happened in 4. If Toy Story 5 had been the sequel to 3, I actually think it could be fine. I mean, yeah, I think it's a natural direction to head into, that, the kids are addicted to phones and tablets and stuff. Honestly, the more I think about it, Toy Story 4 is the "Shrek the Third" of Toy Story. And Shrek 5... I might as well call it Shrek the Fifth.
I would have probably preferred that Toy Story ends up being occasional followup shorts on ABC or something, but I guess Disney can't not milk it. There was about the same gap of years between 3 and 4 as there was with 2 and 3 though, I guess it just seems shorter because no one was really asking for a 4th Toy Story compared to a lot of people wanting a 3rd.

So I'm a bit ashamed to admit, but I never really got into any Indie animated show, even though those are big now, and I feel like I should, I know that Digital circus finale is doing good in theaters but honestly the fanbase for that (and most other animations in general really) turned me off of it. I know I should ignore weirdos on the internet (hehe, I'm a weirdo on the internet), but it's getting harder now when the internet is everywhere and not relegated to the computer room.
Also Shrek 5 trailer is out, and from what I hear, it's not looking good... haven't exactly followed Shrek past the second one though...
The new Gatto film that Pixar's releasing next march looks cute, it has cats and Italy.
And Toy Story 5, I'm kinda dreading more and more...

I saw that Tripod died this year , another very unfortunate Library of Alexandria event. Sadly that means a good bit of Violet's site is broken, and god knows how many SPC fansites and old sites in general. Hopefully someone archived the midis from her music page, because they're not available on the way back machine, and the forum post about the midis lead to dead links as well.

Figured I'd post in this thread after seeing the 2 current animated films of the year.
Hoppers was pretty cute and enjoyable. Mario Galaxy movie was alright as well, visuals are nice, and if you liked the first movie and the games, you'd like this movie. It's not as bad as many are saying it is, but it could have been better... but then again, I don't really have that high of expectations for a Mario movie. I will agree it does have a bit too many references though. Was neat to see Fox in there at least (should I spoiler that? I think Nintendo already spoiled it). The post credits Daisy teaser is neat, wonder how the next one will go... then again, going from Galaxy to Land is kinda a downgrade.
I guess Toy Story 5 is coming out, looks alright, and I'll probably see it, I feel like after doing that marathon of feature length Pixar movies a year or two ago, I'm kinda obligated to see each new Pixar movie.

It's new year's eve, I'm still very much alive.
2025 has been alright honestly, but my resolution of "Be more social" fell on it's ass when I inevitably got in a heated argument or two on discord and I remembered why don't bother with opening up. So for 2026 I have the more realistic and approachable resolution of being more organized. I already sorted my bookmarks and worked on a start page for my web browser, with various sites sorted.
Oh, and I guess there is new Samurai Pizza Cat/Teyandee stuff to look forward to in the new year, so that's great to see the Pizza cats back and bigger than ever imagined, really a happy result (not saying "ending", because hopefully it isn't the end)

A few week late, but Zootopia 2 was pretty good in my opinion.
Also Disney is looking into that whole AI thing now... god help us. Better enjoy this batch of Disney and Pixar movies, you never know if it's the last with human involvement, and that kinda scares me.

Bumping thread because apparently that Cartoon Network hotel is closing... not a good sign for the brand.
Aside from that, Disney is going pretty heavy into AI soon, because of course, and I'm not even really sure what Nick is doing, I stopped paying attention to be honest...
Hopefully Zootopia 2 turns out okay at least.

Today (9/11/2025) is the day I turned 30. I honestly can't believe it, feels like yesterday that I was a dumb teenager, but now my my teenage years are old enough to vote. Honestly, I still feel like a dumb teenager, but I have moved on from a bit of it.
Also I've gotten into Japanese Stationery and Hobonichi Techos (Neat Japanese planners), got one for 2026 so I can be more organized, or at least document my life on paper. Maybe I can be more organized for once or perhaps look back at what the hell I was thinking in 2026.

Reviving thread to talk about the new King of the Hill season, it's pretty good and is like reuniting with a long gone friend. Only real gripe is that the animation and art style feel a bit off, but then again, it's safe to say that jigglebone animation is probably the best we can do now. Last episode even seems to open itself up for yet another season, so hopefully that goes well, too bad about Hardwick and Joss though..., rest in peace

Saw the new Looney Tunes movie, it was very good, especially if you like cartoons from the 40s, and even 90s and 2000s. Very surprising to see a 2D animated film in theaters these days that isn't anime and is a straight up comedy.
Sadly, it seems like Warner Bros. decided to give it next to no marketing, and on top of that, remove all of classic Looney Tunes from their streaming service (Max) for no real reason as usual, alongside a bunch of the good Scooby Doo Movies like Zombie Island, really is a shame, so I'm canceling my Max sub. It's not like I really watched anything on it besides Curb and Mr. Show with Bob and David (which is on Amazon prime as well iirc... and I also have it on DVD) anyways.
