Me too. Honestly though, I remember thinking when BigNasty decided to bow out that it would be really hard for someone else to step in and do such a good job of keeping the SPC theme/flavor going. Not to mention how long it ran. I mean, 109 pages is pretty darn long for a fan-made project.
As much as I'd like for someone to pick it up, they'd have a really high bar of standards to reach immediately.
Yeah, that was what scared me away from the model kits. They looked like they would be pretty stiff as far as articulation goes and would take a lot of time to modify with Bandai's soft plastic joints that they like to use in Gundam kits these days. Think these kits pre-date Bandai's use of these soft joints, so it's not much of a surprise. Also can't seem to bring myself to buy a kit that's somewhat rare, and try to build it. The stress of knowing a screw up could be disasterous is too much =D
And this is why I haven't built a resin kit! =D (But I own 2... Too scared... Too scared... =D)
What Truro said is right though. If you don't have a second player to do it with, use another controller to start the second character on stage 7 and do your best to pull/defend them until the end of the game. The only reason you can't do this on stage 8, unless they changed it, is because a second player isn't allowed to start on stage 8 if I'm recalling this right.
Pretty good pictures of the set completely unassembled as well. Of course you'd have to use rinkya or some other sort of proxy bidding here in the states, but it's a pretty rare find for such a low price if anyone is interested.
I was just wondering if anyone had, or ever stumbled across a webpage with model sheets or other reference material used for the show? I suppose through screengrabs I could get plenty of reference, but it would be a lot more inconsistant. I could've swore I recall reading somewhere that the original model sheet book was on eBay at one point, but that they were outbid.
Indeed. I've got my eye on a few of those because I think I might have the cel that goes on top of the background...
HOWEVER, I'm really squeeeeeemish about bidding on the doorway one with the pink bubbles. I think that's the scene in EP40 with Bad Bird thinking about the Vi+BB marrage. Aaaaand I don't have the cel of Vi and BB at the door...
Surprised if PrncssVi doesn't have that one though, think I recall her at least having a scan of it.
