Also, I can turn on my Frostwire (free/open source Gnutella client, if you already have Limewire you can use that too) and share my set of Eto Rangers episodes sometime if needed. Nobody ever connects, and I end up shutting that machine off. Maybe the search doesn't find me. Or, nobody wants to download that slowly directly from my home connection. Actually, I have an idea. There is a modified torrent client based on Azureus called OneSwarm where friends can exchange our own torrents without a tracker privately. Maybe we should start a swarm for Eto Rangers material so if any one person goes down we can keep it circulating. I am seriously thinking about it. Check it out and let me know what you think: http://oneswarm.cs.washington.edu/

Hello, I know I have been absent for a long while. Here is a little trivia, Nyanma's hair color changes in a late episode.
I made FLAC rips. Back in like '05 I collected both the KNT and Eto Rangers CDs from Yahoo Japan Auctions via Celga bidding service.
I put it in the sticky thread.

It goes in order: Genshiken -> Genshiken OVA -> Genshiken 2
In the opening credits of 2, there are a few little things referencing Metal Armor Dragonar with how his eyes dart side to side and he flips the switches etc. Then come the Gundam...

Actually I don't think my room really betrays much of an anime interest. It does show a computer geek preference as it has a 286, 486, and other computer stuff laying around. But if you look closely you see traces, like a nonfiction book of someone analyzing anime and cultural stuff, and an Eva DVD. Also boxes with Japanese on them containing my KNT collection off Yahoo Japan stored. Don't have a display case or anything to put them in.
Edit: and the Animedia magazines poking out of a stack of stuff. Then not exactly anime, but Ultraman candy I never ate.
I need to at LEAST have the mandatory Nadia figurine somewhere from Secret of Blue Water. And some poster of a Yamato or Ideon movie. Oh and Dirty Pair. Currently I have to make do with a 1997 Star Trek First Contact poster on my door...

I wasn't able to handle the responsibility...I had 13 inches of hair I had cut off because it went wrong. Split end nightmare. Now it is short.
This is me August 2004 before I had my hair cut finally. Metalhead look...

Even the mainline official Bittorrent client is now just rebranded uTorrent. There is no native OS X or BSD or GNU/Linux version. Now I switched to using KTorrent (no Windows version) because it has almost all the features I need and has a built-in IP blocker that downloads the Bluetack list so I don't need Peerguardian. I guess it goes uTorrent for Windows, KTorrent for *nix. Well, you could run uTorrent inside Wine API wrapper in *nix.

Well, PCs behind a home router's NAT (Network Address Translation) need ports forwarded to the PC running the torrent software. DHT (Distributed Hash Table) will not work otherwise. DHT helps you get around tracker being down or private. You would need to login to the web interface of the router and add entries for the port forwarding into the right place. Unfortunately sometimes you are not the one in control of the router and are not allowed, like I was for a long time.
