One of the things that I love about this community is that we're very loyal to the franchise, even if we may not be here much.
I am glad that a lot of you are doing well, and it's always nice to hear what you guys and gals have been up to.
I've been working out and getting back into fitness last year after being inactive since 2006. I've been having fun doing it, and I feel a lot of the benefits coming in--both physically and mentally. I'm even going for a certificate in fitness, and hope that'll help my career aspirations.

I am Colombian but I first watched the show in a Peruvian channel back in 1992. a couple of years later I found it was being broadcasted in a Colombian channel every sunday morning, I watched 3 episodes and then they just put another show... Colombian television always has sucked big time...
I really thank Peru for allowing me to watch two of my three favorite Japanimation shows ever, CatNinDen Teyandee and Saint Seiya (Although I knew them as Samurai Pizza Cats and Knights of the Zodiac)
I wonder why they only aired 3 episodes on the Colombian version... Lol, thank goodness for alternative ways to catch these shows, huh?

For me (I'm in the UK; Northern Ireland, to be precise), it re-aired a few years after it first appeared on TV. They had it on over the summer holidays in 1995 and I remember recording it.
You know, that's really cool that someone else had a really similar experience to mine. LOL, I loved recording the show early in the morning while I was asleep and then watch it later after I woke up.

For me never too.
And it was sad, because in my country not so much people heard of this anime and i felt like one and only fan of SPC in Poland xd
It was so unrealistic experience when much, much later I rewatch series on my PC. Earlier SPC was just in my memory and one article from anime/manga magazine. It's funny that something I just watch once have so much impact on me.
Yeah, I understand. SPC is a show that didn't get much love on broadcast TV, and I think that's sad. But it is nice that we're able to own the DVDs and watch the show on Youtube and Tubi TV.

Samurai Pizza Cats / General SPC Discussion / Did SPC Re-Air?

Hello to all. Before I get to the "meat" of the topic itself, I'd like to share a story as to why this show is so special to me. I remember watching this show back in the summer of 1997, and I instantly fell in love with the fun, random insanity that this show provided. Over the next number of weeks, I recorded the show each and every morning and would watch it whenever I woke up.
Fast-forward and now we're getting close to the beginning of 4th grade for me. I remember that week pretty well (Tuesday was Field of Screwballs, Wednesday was Speedy's Double Time Trick, and Thursday was Samurai Charm School); Samurai Charm School was a good episode by itself, but it's special in that it was the last episode that aired before this show just mysteriously disappeared.
I want to do a video on the SPC from the perspective of my past self and also the perspective of a man that's about to be 33. But before I consider going forward, I'm curious: did the show ever re-air on television for anyone here? It never re-aired for me.

Just found my way back here again today! How's everyone been?
I've been doing okay, just been focusing on myself (including writing more). I think SPC is...special because even though it's been off the air since 1997 (the last episode that was on was Samurai Charm School), but it's still a show that I found again in 2005 randomly and that's also when I found this place; I think SPC is just one of those passionate projects that you come back to because it's something special, and I know that's for sure my case. How are you?

The amazing thing about SPC/KNT is that the people involved, from the voice talent to the fans, just love this franchise; it doesn't matter how long it's been since it aired because, at the end of the day, the love (and passion) is still there.
Too true; thirty years on and there's still a place in my heart for the show. Lately I've been letting my little niece play with the SPC soft toys I had made - in fact, I've been fixing them a bit (sticking on loose parts etc.) for her. Hopefully some day she and her brother will want to watch my DVDs too! BTW, anyone know if there's a version of the book relating to the US version of the show in the works? I'm glad that you still come back to the show, and I'm glad that the younger generation is giving this show a fair chance. I'm not sure about the US version, but I hope that there will be as that's the version I grew up with.

I need to get this thing soon. The amazing thing about SPC/KNT is that the people involved, from the voice talent to the fans, just love this franchise; it doesn't matter how long it's been since it aired because, at the end of the day, the love (and passion) is still there.
This is true. That's what makes the series so special. Oh, for sure. This is one of the retro series that I always come back to because it's special to me.

Thanks for posting these.
I agree with ANE in that it's images like these that are fascinating; to me, they're fascinating, not just because they look cool (my favorite is the dragon), but more importantly because it makes me wonder what the show would have been like with these characters. Would they all have been good guys? Villains? A mix of both?

I actually saw this when you first posted it, but forgot to comment. Anyway, it's cool that they did this but still a little weird. It would have been more fitting for Pizza Hut than Arby's, but hey. *shrugs*
I agree. Arby's is one of the chains I have never tried. I've had chances to try their food, but it never really jumped out at me in any way. I would have loved a Pizza Hut promotion. It's my favorite pizza chain, and I think having one of my favorite shows (from back then) would be really cool.
