In order for me to register, I had to join a Discord server to do so. But if you guys already know the current situation... And how I use forums more often these days to get away these authorities (and because I don't have many people to spend time with anymore), it shouldn't require Discord to register anymore. Like, for months, I've been the latest member, but I don't doubt there have been other people trying to register, and we have very little fertility in this site because of this now. I just so happen to be lucky that in late 2025 the age verification stuff wasn't being shoved down my throat, but going forward... What would I even do? If I tried registering now, I would never have even been here.

While I would love to see a new KNT game, I know it wont happen...
They should've found a steeper cliff.

You already gave them ticket money though.
Thing is... There isn't a reason for a Super Mario Galaxy movie to exist, and if you think about it, the only reason they did one, is because that's the one beloved Mario game people of the Z generation remember. The Super Mario Bros. 3 of this generation you could say, so of course, it's about calling your attention with that name you know, but then the movie it-self, can't replicate what made the GAME beloved, and what it stands for the franchise. It's a movie that released. And will practically just be shrugged off after they already got the money they needed. These aren't movies that need effort to be honest, they just know people will buy these, over and over again. And that's why I said I won't be watching any more of these video game movies. There was something to be said about the 2021 Sonic movie, it had nothing to really go off of, it had to genuinely try to come up with its solutions. People expected it to be crap, but they were shocked that "it wasn't terrible". It may not have been great, but it had to try something. But starting with Sonic movie 2, they stabilished this formula that, all they need is some story beats of a certain game, maximum fan-service, and there you go! Make a sequel bait in the post-credits scene, people will buy it again. And again. And again. And again. But all of these video game movies are basically just doing Sonic movie 2 again. They don't have to try, they found the perfect formula. What do you even expect to watch the movies, and why do you watch them? Why not just play the games they're based on, that, made you truly love what these things are, these are things that movies can't capture. Super Mario Galaxy exists because of new ideas they had to come up with to refresh things. But the movie never had to try anything. It's not what Super Mario Galaxy is all about.

Mario Galaxy movie
The Mario Galaxy movie was a downgrade from the previous movie, they cramed so much guano on it, they did not left space for the movie plot, at all. Starfox literary had more screentime that Princess Rozalina. Princess Peach did not have an Hero's Journey, she had cheerleaders telling her to believe in herself. That you know she didn't actually needed because she was already shown as being hyper competent in the first movie while Mario had to actually train. While not as bad as Ralph Wrecks The Internet, this is a sequel that contradicts the first movie. You do not need to put effort and keep trying, you just gotta believe! Bowser was the only one with character development in a movie that tries to sell us it is about Peach and Rozalina. Yoshi was cute but that alone doesn't save the movie. Not worth a rewatch.

I won't watch the Street Fighter movie even if it has Joe, I don't want to watch Super Mario Galaxy movie, I won't watch Toy Story 5... I'm just gonna watch Top Secret or more Bruce Lee movies probably.

Figured I'd post in this thread after seeing the 2 current animated films of the year.
Hoppers was pretty cute and enjoyable. Mario Galaxy movie was alright as well, visuals are nice, and if you liked the first movie and the games, you'd like this movie. It's not as bad as many are saying it is, but it could have been better... but then again, I don't really have that high of expectations for a Mario movie. I will agree it does have a bit too many references though. Was neat to see Fox in there at least (should I spoiler that? I think Nintendo already spoiled it). The post credits Daisy teaser is neat, wonder how the next one will go... then again, going from Galaxy to Land is kinda a downgrade.
I guess Toy Story 5 is coming out, looks alright, and I'll probably see it, I feel like after doing that marathon of feature length Pixar movies a year or two ago, I'm kinda obligated to see each new Pixar movie.

I'm used to watching KNT in Blu-Ray 1080p HD remaster quality and VHS 240p quality. (though some of the VHS 240p qualites are still lost to this day)
but the bright side is, the Blu-Ray HD remaster is higher and color remasters.

I'm also used to DVD quality. Almost anything I watch is still in like... 480p. I don't mind it. But yeah this is great stuff. I love when they do high quality re-scans like this. It's something that the big animes usually don't get, because when you're at the top of the world, why even try, y'know?
