yeah, Ren and Stimpy were very gross but I loved them cause this... I get angry watching the stupid imitations that were released then like Cow and Chicken or Timon and Pumba (A cuter R & S version)

The episode that merked me was when they were wrestling, the part when Ren release the wrestler's boot and bites his...

...

"I'm the pitcher, he's the catcher."

That was the moment when all the appeal I had for the show was lost.

I'd like to know what happened to Spumco's online presence, though. They had a website with tons of original animation - but the domain was stolen and that's the last I heard of them...

You mean this? [Warning: video may be offensive to some]

Okay, maybe Onward and Upward was a bit much (especially the dinner scene), but the second APC episode, Ren Seeks Help, really made up for it.

Yeah, I heard they had some awesome original webtoons. I wonder if I can find some downloads of them off Kazaa...

That site probably won't be coming back in a while unfortunately from what I've heard...

Yeah, about the only ones that could really compare were Ripping Friends and Rocko (both Spumco if I remember correctly.).

Ripping Friends was made by Spumco. Rocko's Modern Life was made by Joe Murray (who also made the designs for Camp Lazlo on Cartoon Network).

really? now that you mention it, that would explain why the character designs in Camp Lazlo make me think of Rocko, in some way.

Wow, lots of quotes here.  That's right.  I had forgotten that Rocko wasn't Spumco (the concept was just similar).  I DID notice that his style was used in Camp Lazlo though.  Ironic that he now works for Cartoon Network...  (Seems all the good people are starting to come to CN.)

Not all. Butch Hartman, the creator of Johnny Bravo, moved to Nick to make Fairly Oddparents.

actually, Van Partible created Johnny Bravo; Butch Hartman was one of the earlier directors who also got involved with Dexter's Lab and Justice Friends.
