Well technically, buttons are sewn and are used to keep clothing and maybe a few other things shut, whereas pins are just decorative accessories that don't really give any kind of actual important function other than looking cool. (Not that that's a bad thing).

Which reminds me, I removed the SPC button from my store. I wanted to make a revision to the design as the background colour was too dark in the final product.
