I am only ten, but thanks to wikipedia and my curiosity, I found the show and watched it on YouTube and have now become a fan of it Smiley

I had seen pictures from KNT when it was still airing in Japan around 1991 because one of my cousins was a comic book artist and he used to get a lot of manga and anime stuff, I liked the characters, but I didn't even know what the real title was back then, I just knew "Pizza Cats" from the pizza shop sign.  Then one day back in 1996 I was just checking what was on TV and there it was!  I was instantly hooked.

I remember seeing a picture of the Samurai Pizza Cats in a little magazine, and I thought they looked really cool. I ended up watching the show during the summer of 1997, and I was hooked after seeing the first episode. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to enjoy the show for long as it was taken off syndication in early September.

When I was but a wee lil lad, full of hopes and dreams, then one day in 1991 my life changed when I saw SPC for the first time.

Way back in 1993-94, I was 7, I hung out with a friend named Adrean. He was the first person I knew who was into Japanese stuff; obscure Japanese genesis games and all that. I mean really, who would be into that stuff with all that kung-fu gibber gabber?

Then he learned SPC was being aired on YTV and told me all about it. He'd watched the whole series before and said I would love it. And I did. Was the first time I laid eyes on anime. It was a jaring juxtoposion from western style. I felt more invested in these characters cause they were so much more expressive than cartoon characters I was used to. I was instantly a furry, cause I had a chrush on Polly. I thought she was hot, and a CAT of all things. And this was a time when I didn't like girls. So Polly was the first thing I ever fell in love with.

Back in 1991, when I was 10, one of the Saturday morning shows (Motormouth, I think it was) showed some episodes.  I've been a fan ever since and was delighted when ITV started showing it again in the summer of 1995.  I never knew anyone else who was into it, though!   Sad

Now, the first time I watched the show, it was after we had moved and my mother had died, plus the Big Channel was on and we had cable... 1995 maybe? I remenber I first saw the show in the Big Channel, but back then, it was just another show for me. Did not really care much for the show until the year 2002.

1992... A TV Channel from Peru had 2 new shows and I decided to check them out after finishing my 7th grade homework...Those shows Video Power (A show talking about thew last news of NES and Sega Genesis) and Samurai Pizza Cats; Video Powers was kinda interesting but SPC just blew my mind and I got so obsessed about those armored cats that I made a pseudo drawing that I already posted in this forum... 20 years later I am still here...
