Excel Saga - DVD Series

Excel Saga... Oh... I really don't know how to start with this one.
... I... It's... Err... I love it.

If Key the Metal Idol was my introduction, Excel Saga would be my main course. A delicious main course it is.

The main plot revolves around who else but... Excel!
Excel's main goal is to win the love of her leader, Ilpalazzo. In order to do this, she'll do anything he says.
Ilpalazzo however, has only one love. This love, is to take over the world!!!

Thus, an entire series is built over making fun of almost every Anime genre ever made.

The Good :
Crazy zaney ness. There's always a gag around the corner. The dubbing is masterfully done. The emotion is greatly expressed. The flaps are matched very well.
Also... Nabeshin. Nabeshin is the director of the series, putting himself into the series. (Which is alright, since the original Manga Artist is in the series too!)

Why is Nabeshin (the characer) so awesome? Imagine if you took Solid Snake, Goku, Bugs Bunny, Marge Simpson's hair, and Wacco Warner, rolling them into one. Nabeshin can do everything, anything, and is awesome.

The Bad :
Eh... It can get a little risque at times. In fact, the "Encore" episode ended up being aired late at night. You'll understand why when you see it.

The Ugly :
... No ugly.
