Everyone,

Thanks to Daisensei, our personal hero, and his fast reply I have now completly translated the page. I know that most of you who check this page already have read the translation, but here it still is.

If you still see the old page it means your browser uses the cache (it's to save time and download-speed), use ctrl+f5 or shift-f5 or alt+f5 (I always try each possible combination, since I keep forgetting) to refresh the cache. If that doesn't work, just go in to the option menu and delete cache manual. Oh... Internet Explorer calls it Tempory Internet Files

BTW: The complete slideshow is also update

I second that, I'm having to code one game so that's suitable for milestone, I'm fininishing a up a gamedesign document for another game, I have to fix someone's computer, I still have to go to school (and yes, I also have a load of homework and we have tests in two weeks) and I need to sleep.
Actually I'm suprised I'm still alive, then again this is the internet...

Sometimes I'm even thinking of dropping this, but I can't since failure and giving up is not part of my dictionary. If someone wants to kill me in my sleep, be free to do so ~_~
(oh and for those who don't get it, I'm joking about the killing part. Now I hope you did read this before you ran off to my chamber ~_~)

Ever think of editing the sound fx as well?  They're not terribly difficult.... here's the first page from when I started to translate this comic circa jan 05' or so

http://i10.tinypic.com/48xzdwx.jpg

Keep up the good work, only crit i have besides the sound fx would be the placement of your text, it seems kind of cramped in some bubbles or really spacious in others.

EDIT:   P.S.   -- Hey Sam, remember me? :B

EDIT (2):  Resized per request

Dude, your skill is freaking awesome. Real nice. One question though: Did you stretch the text in the boxes? It seems you did.

BTW: Add a link or upload it as attachment since a full page is rather annoying.

About replacing SFX: In the beginning I was thinking of doing that but after looking around on the internet I found a poll (I believe it was animenewsnetwork, not certain) where visitors was asked what they thought of replacing SFX. There were two majorities: One that didn't want to replace the SFX with editor translations (how I'm doing it) and the others want to have it translated but only if it was done reall nice (like you did).

Since the people that didn't want replacmenet were 7% or something bigger than those who did want it to be replaced I choose to go with the majority (also since I found out that it was quite a hassle to translate SFX).
I assume that the difference is made because some read fan translations and other proffesional translation. proffesional transaltions are used to convert the entire manga to english (sometimes they eve flip the pages to the western reading). In those cases I also want it to be replaced, but in all other cases I don't really care, but I think other prefer the replacement technique since you don't destroy the japanese feeling of it.
I hope it's quite clear since I'm having a feeling that this is not well explained, if not I will try to rewrite more clearly.

Long story made short: No, I don't replace the SFX and I have no intention to do so for the reasons see above

@Hayama: Maybe it's too early to ask you but I'm constantly hoping that somebody picks up the Samuari Pizza Cats version of this (I'm doing the KNT-version of it). Maybe, I'm allowed to be so bold, this is a task that you're perfect for? You have already proven your more than capable (proberly better than I). Besides you have one advantage: the names are shorter in english! Believe me those long names are hell!

@Daisensei: Since your the project-leader (at least in my opinion) of this, what do you think of my above request? I think a lot of SPC-fans (including me) are willing to help him.

Sound FX replacement is really simple, even editing the images takes rarely less than a few minutes per panel.  If you choose not to and keep your translation notes it's fine, but the end product usually ends up looking really cluttered.

The text was 'stretched' as you put it in photoshop to fill up the text boxes...

I did consider editting all the images fully to allow for proper text bubbles, but the only major changes I did when sam and I first started doing the translation originally back in early 2005 or so... was to edit the size of the 'pages' digitally to be all uniform and straight.

I can understand how you made most of it, but how did you rotate some of the 'Hisss' text so that they were angled?

Also, what font did you use for the twinkle?

(Short blip of an idea: why not flip the images, sans text, so that It reads like a regular book?)

In photoshop you can use the Warp Text feature in conjunction with Leading\Kerning\Ect to achieve a varienty of effects.

To be honest, I don't remember ^^;  As I've yet to reinstall all my fonts from my last crash, I don't as of yet have the ability to recall it by punching it up in photoshop.  When I do I will let you know.

For starters, it's more natural for me to read from left to right for some reason, also it helps when translating when I can just opaque/transparent the layer I use for masking out the japanese font.  At one point Sam and I did discuss doing a SPC version though, in which I definately would flip the images.
