my fav game tunes..

hmm this is a toughie.

I like the theme music to Oh Mummy! (on the Amstrad CPC464/Spectrum 16k) quite jazzy; but one you can't get out of your head after a while!

ALL the music from the Dizzy series, (again on the above systems)

And i think the original version of columns on the game gear/Master system still is a nice fav;

and not forgetting TETRIS!!

I haven't played many new games; i don't really have the time

The Final Fantasy games' tunes, of course (like another poster said). I have the 'classical' version (although I don't really fancy classical music in general) of War of the Magi, played with an orchestra instead of the PS1-bleeps. It's got something 'powerful' about it. As has Liberi Fatali. Mr. Uematsu has quite some talent!

Ohmygosh! At one time back when I had Yoshi's Island (the SNES version), I blubbered like a baby while watching the credits sequence. Not ashamed that I still do once in a while.

I'll never be able to pick out one, so...

Bloody Tears- It's in several Castlevania games. Great song.

Cornered- A Phoenix Wright music track. Great song, found a remixed midi of it that sounds better than the actual tune.

Baby Bowser- Yoshi's Island. I get all the way through this cute, awesome game and get to fight Bowser while listening to a rock tune. Yummy.

Ice Rink- Ristar music. Very nice.

Eyes of Fire- Cave Story. One of the better tracks on the game.

All of the music from the Kirby series. <3

DK pass- Mario Kart DS. The only music track I liked on that game.

Most of the music from Silent Hill.

Not much from Final Fantasy.

Some from Legend of Zelda.

The list goes on...

Well, the game “Kung-fu” for da Nes has one of the most catchy tunes ever, I even used it when we played “Crazy kombat” a parody of Mortal Kombat and street fighter I did with a friend…

Great topic. Well...my favorite video game tunes are as follows.

Mega Man 2 (NES) -- "Dr Wily 1&2" stage. My favorite piece of video game music ever made.

Donkey Kong Country 2 (SNES) -- "Bramble Scramble" stage. One of the best pieces of music I've heard in gaming. In fact, DKC and DKC 2 were full of excellent music.

Xenosaga: Episode I (PS2) -- "Opening", "Ormus", "Nephilim", many others

Silent Hill 3 (PS2) -- Pretty much everything on the soundtrack.

[Edited to include links]

Marble Garden Zone theme of Sonic 3 (Genesis)

Agreed, that's a top tune.  For some reason I had it in my head the other day, even though I haven't played the game in months (I have the Sonic Collection on my XBox 1).  I also liked the music from the first level in Streets Of Rage 1 (now I'm really showing my age!).

If it's not SPC, TMNT, BMFM, Swat Kats or Sonic, what's the point?

"Advent: One-Winged Angel" from Final Fantasy VII.  It really summed up just how epic the boss fight was.  It gave me chills in Kingdom Hearts.  "Revival: One-Winged Angel" from Advent Children was pretty nice, but it lacked the flare that the oiginal had.  Aeris' theme occasionally brings a tear to my eye, as that song was playing when she died.

On the subject of Kingdom Hearts, "Simple and Clean" from the first, and "Sanctuary" from the second.  Two very nice songs.  Lots of emotion.

Ahh yes, One Winged Angle. The Bohemian Rhapsody of gaming music.  Grin
