Sorry for not posting here in such awhile. Ive been very busy, especially with my Dad starting his own new business and helping out with that. But I do hope in future to be here more often  Wink

Anywho heres something I did not to long ago, I wanted to try and do some serious concept art and designing so I had a shot at it, this being the result the Lancer Crusader, essentially its a dragon slaying craft which uses that large rocket propped lance. Due to dragons hides being stone like and fire resistant explosives and energy weapons are to ineffective, so nice big kinetic weapons are used instead.

The idea here was old meets new, this being my take on the ol Knight vs Dragon...in the distant future.

Dragons in this case being colossal plasma belching, flying aliens.

This picture isn't finished, but it is a milestone. For months he was just a head. I'd say it's my best so far.

I've always admired images of characters sleeping. There's a certain neutral vulnerability about sleep that intrigues me. Everyone has to do it eventually. It's a time for people to put their claws, swords, guns, and proton-packs away, and makes even the most villainous individuals docile.

Another Gradius thing. This one's actually kinda old, but I only just now rediscovered it on my webspace (fortunately, since I hadn't moved it to my new computer).

Yes, because Big Al is OBVIOUSLY a wolf in his younger days, then somehow turns into a saggy, large jowled dog.

Moron.

You don't think I was aware of that?  Huh?

I was trying to be absurd with the idea that, somehow, he went from looking like a wolf to the dog from Duck Hunt.

Jeez. Somebodey woke up on the wrong side of the bed.  Roll Eyes

the dog from Duck Hunt.
You know, that reminds me of a short comic I wanted to draw. It would start out with Francine pointing her light gun at the launch console screen (the rear/side view so that you can't see what's on the screen yet), saying "Here we go!" or something along those lines. Then she'd pull the trigger, with associated sound effects and such. The next frame would be a close-up of her face looking embarrassed and she'd say "Oh no, I missed again!" Next frame would show Duck Hunt on the launch console screen, with the "Fly Away" message that you get when you miss with all of your bullets. A Ninja Crow would be flying off the edge of the screen. Then in the last panel Big Al would pop out of the bushes on the screen and start laughing.

But, more on topic: Wonderful pencil work there, Aster Crow. Great texture on the fur.

Hey, you should draw that comic. It would be great. "Crow Hunt"

And she's gotta be playing it on Princess Vi's Famicom!!

Beautiful drawing, the glance in the eyes and the shading is great, like in all the drawings of Aster Crow.

The wolf picture represents my father. The original is hanging on the wall over his computer desk. He always found himself like a wolf in his style and attitude, especially when it came to teaching Karate. He has been my Sensei for the last 20 years and just recently promoted me to 2nd Degree Black Belt. We've trained with the sword on a few occasions and he has his own for receiving his 3rd Dan black belt.

This picture means a lot to me and I'm thankful Aster drew it for my father. It represents a lot of his traits and personality. Powerful, cunning, and mean at times, but always loyal and understanding.

And for the record.. Wolfie here could kick Big Al's ass all over the place on any given day. Speedy Wink

Wow. Thats a very touching story, and just in time for Father's Day.

I'm sorry, Burke, I feel like such an ass now.  Embarrassed
