Yay, Noritaka made a reply to my request!!! It's hard to believe it's happening! In his blog he said: A character from 18 years old Japanese animation...?
This is a reference for a comment posted in the 12th entry of this month.
It gives me a pretty weird feeling.

Wow, it must have been nice having a small talk with one of the creators of Teyandee. You think maybe we could ask him to make his own KNT stories or special mangas. Forgive me, I'm probably just holding my breath.

He's probably too busy to do much KNT-related stuff these days. In the past, he has submitted short comics and illustrations to various doujinshi. But as the show gets older, doujin projects become less frequent and less comprehensive (some of the KNT doujins from the early to mid 90's feature material from dozens of different contributors), such submissions would seem to become less likely. For now, I wouldn't expect much more than the occasional KNT-related art posted to his blog.

Since this guy did both KNT and Eto Rangers (based on what I remember reading somewhere), has he done some Eto art as well as Teyandee?

I thought it was a reference to the episode KNT26 - Daibouken! Zekkouchou wo sagase (SPC26 - Cold and Crabby in Little Tokyo). |

Well, I do remember a bird carrying him on Speedy on "The Terror of Prison Island" in SPC, so that's why I think it's a reference from that episode.
But why does Yattarou always get nearly all of the bad luck? Is it due to his status of being the main character of the anime or something?

Japanese drink a lot of "energy drinks" and "energy pills", so is not that weird that someone who was "High" remebered a old show it saw as a kid and did some fan art.... |

Err, this is KNT's character designer we're talking about, not just someone who saw KNT as a kid. And I was referring to the fact that even within KNT, Okinu is a very minor character (a major role in one episode, and a couple of "blink and you'll miss it" cameos later).

Agreed Felineki. Seeing Ruby again is a treat.  I especially like this rendition of her. It looks & feels more natural. I also like the wind, and the angle the picture was drawn from. I kinda wish we got to see more of the characters like her in more of the SPC episodes. Not as a constant character, it'd just have been nice to see her in more than 2 episodes. Granted, I don't know what other trouble she could've gotten in to... However since she appears to either not like her glasses, or just forget to wear them, I can see where she'd get herself into a little more trouble here 'n there. |
